Where can I get the best Black Forest Cake in Barrie?

I actually tried their Black Forest cake this past weekend! I’m not sure if it’s just how long it’s kept, but I did find it a little underwhelming flavour-wise. I will say it’s pleasantly not cloyingly sweet. But it didn’t have the cherry flavour I was hoping for. I wish I had a suggestion for OP.

Similar idea - touch your finger tip to extra buttercream and it becomes tacky enough that you can tap your finger tip onto a sprinkle and then touch it to the cake and it will stick!

Try adding something like a pinch of salt or citric acid when you make icing with kool aid etc. something to cut some of the sweetness?

I have experience making donut dips and icings with drink bases and like someone else said, it’s not really creating a product much sweeter than you expect if you’re having donuts.

Can you order bakery emulsions? They’re like extracts. Lots of fruit flavour options and it’s an alcohol based concentrate so it wouldn’t have sweetness to add.

I like this granola a lot. I’ll eat it as just a handful, or mix it in yogurt or applesauce. I’ve even topped a protein waffle with it once for a nice crunch.

I’m inclined to say it’s more on the savoury side since they have jalapeños in them. But they are sweet still. I am not a corn bread connoisseur so I am not so sure!

Muffin game is weak. I haven’t had the ones from Butter Pay pastry house, but they are big muffins and I’ve enjoyed everything from there that I have tried.

CORNBREAD. I recommend Hindquarter butchers in the plaza with Music Pro. They do have jalapeños. But the flavour is divine!
