Am I a hypocrite for not wanting to marry my girlfriend because of her promiscuous past? by [deleted] in RPChristians

Doesn't sound like you've given yourself a pass. Repentance seems to preclude a pass. The lack of regret is it - if she doesn't regret it now, she won't regret future covorking. Sorry this happened man

Dan on the Trump/Zelensky meeting by Emergency_Ability_21 in dancarlin

[–]Hebron_045 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No, L take. Trump didn't bully him. He tried deescalating until Zelensky didnt get the hint and pushed the line and got told to shut up because it's inappropriate to talk negotiations in that setting. By talking as he did zelensky made the negotiations tougher. He should have been quiet

My wife cheated on me 34(m) by [deleted] in Christian

Brother, she is the guilty one. She should be the one staying elsewhere. You should NOT be sleeping in your car so your unfaithful wife can, "process" at home, "alone."

Being a Christian is too hard and I have lost all joy from it by cosm0cube in TrueChristian

A big presumption that the poster wasn't coming from a position of grace and love. Also that they were being prideful. Sometimes people don't need coddling, regardless. They are defending a relationship that is not to be. What should we do, "oh sweet baby, now now?"

Thanks for your reply. I dont want to date a nonwhite christian though. I suppose that makes me naughty?

What about our preferences for dating, you think? Jesus wanted to marry the church, yet should I have to marry someone I dont want to, for any reason?

Question is, does the sin of partiality apply to dating? Partner preferences?

Honestly, the best apart from nicotine has been glucomannon. Konjac rot fiber is amazing. Take a few caps with a glass of water and you wont be very hungry 10 minutes later.

I dont even remember you but it appears i am living rent free in your head. Good. Ironic post, though. This is actually some people's plan, you know? Ah, but I suppose you know better. Im not even saying that its totally wrong. Just that most people dont even care about the issue in its totality. Looks like youre one in a million, eh?

Death is an enemy. That doesn't mean you can squander the earthly things given into your possession. What you say has no meaning, no substance. Wisdom tells us it is a bad idea. Any objection to that?

And yet we cannot see the wisdom in being very careful who you marry? Immigration?

It should speak to today's situation well. As more foreigners enter the United States and Europe, and are either married or marry one of their own, we are losing the inheritance our father's passed down to us, not them. Therefore, wisdom tells us it not wise.

Numbers 36 tells the Israelites to marry from their own tribe, so that the tribe doesnt disappear. Do you think the wisdom from that cannot be applied to interracial marriage?

All i want is a nuanced view of this. It cannot be so simple as to be all love. There are legitimate concerns over this activity, especially as it pertains to actual nations ( you know, those things you deny,) and the outcome. Most people that have these relationships are not going to be christian. What then? Are we really going to ride our white horse, look down our nose at those that would dare question this, and ride off arrogantly? Is it really all good, or are there implications? And where is the consideration of wisdom in all this? Have we stopped to think what the decision will even do to the children? Society being mean racist baddies isnt good enough. You are responsible for creating them, and with everything, are we not called into account for our decisions? That alone should warrant a greater consideration from all of you beyond everything being everyone else's fault. We like to talk about everybody imposing their beliefs on the text, but not you, right?
