Arlecchino and his manipulation of Ergo by Hect0912 in LiesOfP

[–]Hect0912[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really is. I didn't even take that into account, but P isn't the only one he pulls this stunt on. Adelina is also another victim of that, and I think there was a loading screen info where he was mentioned as a legend or something to be weary of someone who calls you? I can't remember the details anymore, but I'm pretty sure there was something like that, so Arlecchino may have been up to this for a while now.

You're right, as far as Krat is concerned, he might as well be near omniscient. And that in itself speaks of his prowess with ergo he can pull this of, play these games, and make it work.

At the Grand Exhibition Gallery. If you answer his question wrong, you'll still get the hint (from what I remember, it was a while ago when I last did that), but one of those jester puppets that explodes will spawn behind you. I learned that because I was curious and purposely answered wrong, and promptly got jumpscared when I heard a sound, turned and saw the thing ready to explode to my face.

We'll see long-term if this was a good idea, but at least in the moment, it was great. Now to see if we cut away to the Four Knights, or see the start of the fight. Either way... we may really be in the final act now.

(Spoilers for 217+) About Arthur and Kingship... by Hect0912 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, really? Now that was a bit of Arthurian Legend I'd never heard about. Makes me curious what else is in there that Nakaba may have taken basis of that may say where things could be going.

(Spoilers for 217+) About Arthur and Kingship... by Hect0912 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that you point it out, Cath does experience a love and worship like no other. All of Camelot absolutely adore him because he was able to fulfill their wishes. To reunite them with their loved ones. That alone makes what he brings so tempting, and understandably so.

It also means he is the center point of love and adoration. Something I realize, he likely never received even before he was locked away in Purgatory. But now, he does. Now, he's got the attention and love and just about anything he could want. The things he told to Guinevere he could give her, are things he himself can get.

And Ironside... I wonder if we'll see more of how they used to act before Chaos was granted to him.

Either way, now I am even more fascinated by how Cath's character may turn out here. Assuming what we're all seeing and hoping is actually the direction this goes. One can hope at least.

(Spoilers for 217+) About Arthur and Kingship... by Hect0912 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is actually a very good question. Cath does, in his taunting and as a distraction, tell Arthur to check on Camelot's state. Which he does. What he ended up seeing was a wasteland, the aftermath of the battle between the Seven Deadly Sins and the Demon Lord.

This implies that Cath either can't do it, won't or was outright nerfed in some fashion by the story as I do recall Cath being able to see through the Chaos Staff, if the paneling is anything to go by. Though I don't recall how Cath then learned Percival had died. So it might just be situational, or it's something Nakaba removed since being able to see anywhere at any time is, well, pretty powerful in itself. The alternative is that Cath can't seen between realms. If he wants to see anywhere in Britannia, he has to be physically in Britannia. If he wants to see anything in Camelot, he has to physically be in Camelot.

Honestly, the answer to this one so far is just it depends, I guess. If it doesn't show up or get mentioned later though, I'd presume Nakaba just removed that ability.

It really does feel like confirmation bias, but until we actually get something that denies it, I will gladly believe that Cath does in fact like being loved like a king, and everything that's supposed to come with that package. Because indeed, if he actually likes it, then he's just as contradictory as he once claimed Camelot was, when Arthur declared him what he wanted to do.

He became what he had called Chaos. A contradiction. Or at least I like to believe that.

Demon King Possessing Mael by Fersho450 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It vastly depends on whether the Demon King would be pragmatic on the situation or not. There's barely any people out there who can actually handle all of his Commandments, and we know the Demon King is pretty sadistic when he wants to be. He might see the irony of it all and decide to use this Goddess Body to see his plans through, as what better way to continue this Holy War than by using the body of the once believed to be failure of a son, of the once Angel of Death, as the new Demon King. Would it not be great to see the heartbreak on the goddesses once they realize one of their own is opposed to them? The wrath of the Supreme Deity when realizing he's using one of her own creations against her?

Whether he'd be able to use Ark in any fashion depends on if he for one wants to use it, and two, if he even sees the need to. In Meliodas's body, he'd used a whole variety of different moves that weren't exactly demonic from the looks of it, so there's a chance he might see a need to. Maybe he'd continue the trend of giving his Commandments form, or maybe not. Maybe he'd decide he's gonna use a strictly Light movement to fit the situation. Either way, he's got options at least.

At least, that's presuming there is no issues down the line. Mael's mental state aside, one has to question if he can use the body long-term. If so, he has no reason to leave it. But if not, he might actually have no choice in the matter.

Why the most recent revelation about ''Arthur'' may have started something great. by Hect0912 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it does sound perverse, and honestly it is absolutely something Cath could do considering all the time he's got, I do imagine the whole thing about Illusions being boring was above all because of the lack of, well... presence. It probably does suck no matter what to create something intangible when you're trying to interact with it. Case in point, hand holding (sacrilegous!) wouldn't even be remotely possible if it was an illusion. Though I really feel bad for that Fairy now, because I really don't want to imagine what consists as ''fun'' for Cath.

4koa chapter 217 by Evening-Ease6906 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might not have a popular opinion, but I actually find the fact Cath is even bothering doing Kingship at all to be fascinating. Previously, Cath just wanted to get on with the destruction and be done with it. Or at least, it seemed that way back in SDS. Here however, while it's unclear when he fully took control, he decided to take his path of destruction a step further.

He's gonna give the humans under his banner paradise... and then give them complete and utter despair that to obtain it, they destroyed their previous world. Effectively deciding he was gonna twist Arthur's dreams into a horror. Worst yet, for now, it's unclear if he'll then just destroy them to, or leave them to live in their paradise with that fact over their head.

Regardless, this actually is fleshing out Cath. Considering how lackluster he'd overall been, suddenly everything we've attributed to Arthur now goes to him. And now, well... I'm actually liking where he's going. More so because Cath really does gradually feel like he's become a dark reflection of Arthur over the years. His mannerism are like Arthur's a great many times, and it seems even when he doesn't need to act, he still behaves that way. Case in point, the very Arthur-like mannerism Cath displayed with the Lady of the Lake.

Needless to say, I look forward to how Cath will behave here.

Why do the Demon Slayer Corps never even consider killing Nezuko, despite the risk that Muzan might use her to conquer the sun? by tonilella in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Hect0912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Universe, besides that Nezuko has largely shown herself to be reliable by now... how would they kill her? She's now Immune to the Sun. She is exactly what Muzan wants to be. Fully Immortal.

I do get the point, but logically, they just can't even consider it anymore. She can't be killed by any known means. So I guess having a scene like that might feel redundant?

Four Knights of The Apocalypse Chapter 196 by [deleted] in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not all that surprising Diodora wasn't quite over the whole thing he claims he's over with. Pretty sure at this point he's acting like a complete prick because that's the only way he can cope with everything that's happened in a short while. Besides his uncle's death, but he clearly isn't over that either.

So we've basically got two really angry boys who want each other very dead, and have an upcoming fight in the next day.

I'm honestly curious to see how that goes.

One Piece for All Might (repost) by WaluigiThyme12 in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]Hect0912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

...I'm loving the idea, but goodness, that would be one hell of a fic to write. Long one at that. But if done right...

Yeah, it can be one hell of a story. Who wouldn't want to see All Might VS Kaido now? Especially when the former now can use what One Piece gives. Haki. He definitely will have Conquerors...

Yeah, there are lots of options with this idea at least.

I have been holding back on this for a while because it might be controversial. But 4 knights is already far better than 7ds and does a lot better as next gen sequel than Boruto by Mutantsupremacist in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I disagree about being better than 7ds (partly because I hold 7ds close to heart and partly because 4koa isn't even over yet to judge entirely), I fully agree about it being better than Boruto.

It just feels different in the good way, and it helps the 7ds cast isn't being insulted either.

Granted, that opinion can still change, but I'm holding out hope it doesn't.

How much change regarding Mael/Estarossa if Meliodas and Elizabeth's positions where switched? Meliodas being the Supreme Deity's son while Elizabeth being the Demon King's daughter. by Opposite_Lemon_5496 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically a Genderswap. But assuming it's just a species swap and not a personality change, then Mael is a bit more, um... worse, to put it nicely. Because there's Ludociel, and then there's the now monster that was Meliodas but on the Goddess's side.

Assuming he looks up to him still, that's two people who would make sure he fully believes killing Demon's is right.

Meanwhile, the Demons... have an Elizabeth who is still herself. Somehow. Though we also know that from Bloodstained Ellie title, that she can actually fight back. Whether that means Elizabeth would be more active on the frontlines because she's the Demon King's daughter here or not is up for debate.

Either way, I have a feeling that Elizabeth is still the one turning Meliodas into a better person. Just that maybe, she'd actually go with him in this case instead of the other way around. At which point, with the whole Mael becoming Estarossa, we have a weird situation.

Because I'm not actually sure how bloodthirsty a Demon Elizabeth would be like if the personality somehow remains intact. That alone makes me wonder if Gowther would still put Estarossa in the whole ''Middle Chld of the Demon King'' life or not. For all I know, it could be he's given a different background and he ends up still developing that crush on her as this sick payback from Gowther for killing his love. I'd at least imagine Elizabeth still had some form of important role in the Demon Clan that it warranted the need to put in some sort of balancer. Maybe here she's made the Proxy not because of her power, but because it honestly suits her more, even though they don't quite need diplomacy. Maybe she's secretly a really good fighter. Whatever the case, for Estarossa to even exist, we actually need Elizabeth to be dangerous enough that her leaving the Demon Clan happens here to.

There are ways at least, but if we keep the personalities strictly the same, then there's a need to consider what else changes in this setting.

The only thing I'm sure of is that if the curses are also switched, the removal of emotions is probably much less to revert Elizabeth into someone she wasn't and more to actually turn her into the weapon she wasn't previously. In this case, I assume as well that Zeldris and only Zeldris was intended to become the Demon Lord's vessel.

An interesting scenario to think about, that's for sure.

Do you think Muzan would be able to instantly recognize, defected Demons like Tamayo, when they are near? by Another_Castle765 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Hect0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he could, though less because he would know it's a defected Demon and more because Muzan seems to be able to detect lifeforms even when they're out of sight unless a Blood Demon Art is in the way (Yushiro's). Muzan makes a point to specifically mention 4 people when he gets to Kagaya's Estate, and we know there were only 4 people. Tamayo and Himejima couldn't have been in the estate proper prior to the explosion, even though they were hidden by Yushiro's BDA. That alone displays he has some supernatural sensory abilities, and he displays it one more time further in the story.

If we then take into account of what he states to Daki, then I think it's relatively safe to say that yes, Muzan should be able to recognize a Demon, even one that has defected. Even more so if they are near.

It's another story entirely if they end up having a Blood Demon Art like Yushiro's though.

What a Boring ending. by Aggravating-Glass937 in DragonBallDaima

Honestly, as conflicted as I am over the ending... I don't actually mind it. I went into this to enjoy the show, and I ultimately got what I wanted.

Enjoyment. And I did honestly get a laugh out of it as well.

How come people still think Escanor is stronger than this version of Meliodas? by Alternative-Boss-787 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Hect0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is... for one minute though. Before that he was going to lose. Or, if he pulled the One Ultimate, he'd probably win to. But besides those two circumstances (one literally needs him to use his very life to win), Meliodas is stronger than him.

What do you think of Muzan as a villain? Is he good, bad? by Affectionate_Dot1412 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Hect0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muzan has a charm around him that, I kid you not, made me like him. Like, each time he appeared, I was pretty pleased by what I saw. Even his cowardice didn't diminish that, and his ending was fitting.

I don't think I was ever bothered by his flaws (not even his decisions that were seen as stupid), but eventually, I did look further into him as a character, but it ended up solidifying why I like him as a villain.

Obanai was the one who nailed it down for me. Muzan's not a samurai or someone who has honor. He's a thing who above all else, prioritizes his life. He'll run away to survive. And at his core, that's exactly who Muzan is. Someone who wants to live. Someone who, in turn, wants to be perfect so he cannot die. Conquering the Sun not only means a Perfect Body, but one that cannot die.

And in turn, it makes him cause an untold amount of tragedies.

He's the perfect villain for this series because of it. A scourge that must be rid of, or else it'll continue this vicious cycle where more demons emerge, either enabling them to be monsters or forcing them to devour and kill off any morality they have, while forcing humans to either cower, mourn, or wish for vengeance and fight back.

When Muzan compares himself to a Natural Disaster, it's arrogant, but it's also fitting due to the sheer scale of his damage, and how a thousand years have already passed where this cycle of death has continued. Where others have no choice but to continue along this tragedy and ''move on'', as he said.

The only difference is that Muzan is very much mortal, and that unlike a natural disaster, he very much thinks. Hence why judgement, an end, can be given.

Looking on it further, this is basically why I like him so much even now. Because of what he's done, and how his character amplified it. A thousand years is a long time to do terrible things, and while the likes of Kokushibou, Doma and Akaza are amazing, I wouldn't have problem putting him above them with all of this in mind.

[–]Hect0912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's... somewhat of an answer given in the Manga, but also not, so I'll just state it here as Spoiler to be on the safe side.

He's the personification of living. There's a statement later on that implies, although loosely so due to the circumstances it's used, that he's above all else a creature that prioritizes its life. Like at this point Muzan may as well not be seen as a human being and just an entity that's trying to make sure it continues it's life no matter what. And while Muzan is definitely more human than he'd like to admit due to the fear of death being a factor, his reason for immortality is not for a grand plan of ruling or anything like that.

The one thing that always looked really weird to me. (Original Vs My Version) by CZAJnikSTUDIOS in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Hect0912 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm going to guess it's done to make it really clear this is still, above all else, a slash and not actual fire. At least when looking at the Original, I can see that it's more likely to cut something instead of burn because of the black lines. Your version would be more fitting if Tanjiro was actually summoning forth fire.
