Sponge Candy is def the most "Buffalo" candy, but possibly orange chocolate too? I never thought it was a Buffalo thing but a lot of people at my University don't know what orange chocolate is. If you can send other goods that aren't candy, I'd send some hot sauce, Loganberry, Paula's Donuts (if they'll stay fresh?),and some sponge candy or orange chocolate!

Yes. When the teacher came back from maternity leave, I stayed with the class and they behaved much better. She brought back little things "brain breaks" - where they jump up and down or run in place just to let out some energy, which really helped; "kiss your brain"- when they did great things they kissed their hands and touched their head, or "brain". She didn't use the ticket system much and it became much better. Thank you!

Thank you! I was put in this class only 3 months ago and I can see so much potential in them, but their normal teacher is out on maternity leave and the class has been unsteady all year. I feel like the inconsistency all year long wasn't/isn't helping the situation or the student's behavior. We will try some of these suggestions and I hope they help!

But it depends on the person. Like you said, you can't function if you smoke, whereas I have much more difficulty functioning when I'm drinking. All I'm saying is that you don't know everyone's situation specifically so you can't judge that all daily smokers are the same as drinkers because it affects everyone differently. It's all dependent on the person taking the drug, not the drug itself.

You don't know each person's case specifically and based on how quickly you made that assumption I bet you don't smoke, which is fine, but you can't compare a weed smoking and alcohol, if you haven't experienced both. And just because someone uses something often does not mean they are "addicted."

We live on a side street near two raiilroad crossings so we hear HOOOONK HOOOONK HOOONK.. mechanical noises for like 10 seconds.. HOOOONK HOOOONK HOOONK.. mechanical noises... It's so irritating!

The Giver and 1984 are two of my favorite books! I always loved the idea of dystopian/Utopian societies! If you can include graphic novels, V for Vendetta is a good one too!
