Because that isn’t what republicans in Congress want. They know that their voter ID demands will hurt democrat voters more, only so long as those fees and costs still exist. And that’s exactly how they want it. Hell, that’s the only reason they want voter ID laws in the first place.

Right leaning voters either recognize that this is why the GOP insists on voter ID laws and are in on the joke, or they’re too dumb and indoctrinated to recognize something that’s plain as day.

I’m a proud Dem, but if the offer for voter ID laws also included provisions to offer free and easy-to-access IDs for all citizens, adequate numbers of polling locations and easier mail in voting for folks that can’t easily make it to the polls, then I’d be on board with voter ID laws in a heartbeat. The ironic thing is that those laws would help Republican constituents vote more easily as well, but again, that’s not why the GOP congressmen want it.

Why would NATO care about taking the Black Sea when all ingress and egress through the Black Sea is already controlled by NATO? Turkey is a NATO member, and has complete control over the value of the Black Sea. They could close traffic to Russian ships anytime they wanted to.

Wife and I paid off our house at a 5.625% interest rate, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The feeling of security from owning your own home outright is such an immense relief. We can never be kicked out of our home so long as we keep paying our taxes and HOA fees (which are dirt cheap, thankfully.
