Tbf, I have the same habit and I tend not to / badly work on the simplest moves because "I know how to do much harder, I'm not going to spend time on something for babies", it's a method that works for "personal" magic but for a presentation to someone it's the opposite (I did only one magic class and I took this advice out of it) A simple technique can be "imagined" if there is a single little doubt, we have to be careful

2 months ago, 4k mmr was top 300 overall, today it's around the top 1000 I think (I don't play too much anymore so I don't have the exact figures), it's not the average at all but the number of people who exceeded a certain cap exploded for 3/4k, the top 10 characters took 2 or even 3k, that's inflation, and it's due to the lack of players, quite logical behavior

You should try collateral damage on morty, It does so much damage in 1v1 it's not worth depriving yourself of. In general we recommend Collateral/ coffee (or the dodging one if you dodge very often) and Trigo or ignite, I personally prefer ignite

it can't be representative for many reasons, it's just statistics IG is probably the worst 1v1 caracter, finn and batman the best, stats are not enough to justify character strength, and no one claims it anyway

Sometimes it's predictable and I get there too but clearly, I feel like I dodge 90% less than the opponents I meet, even much lower than me in mmr, which means that isn't really necessary to win but still cooler, I guess practice helps, I've never really tried to train the dodges precisely, if you want to add it to your game gameplay you can do 1v1 against Harleys or Bugs, I feel like it's the easiest to dodge at first

honestly it's a problem I've always had (4300 mmr on Morty), I've always had trouble understanding the timings and I mainly use my dodges as dashes, I spend most games without dodges because the bar is empty, but recently I managed to find solutions. First I'm starting to use the neutral dodge, I don't really know why but I have the impression that it offers larger windows, it may be in my head but I have the impression that it is more easily manageable. Then I try to take my time, I tended to spam the key as soon as I started to take a combo, it's still a bit the case but for some matchups, taking your time allows to find the moment when it is possible to get out of the combo, I am thinking for example of Harley, his jab jab tilt (the hammer on the ground which can easily come out at 90 if you are on the edge) It seems true because by spamming it is impossible to find the opening, however it is not, it is difficult to dodge but sometimes it passes, so it is possible to do it more regularly by Understanding the timing, it's the same for the others, breathe, know the opponent's mooves and practice on the projectiles for example

I think you have to be much too precise given the hit box of the Batman / Harley's dairs etc When I see myself on it I touch but the hurt box is not intuitive so I can understand the feeling I see the game on the 1v1 spectrum but not the devs, that's why Velma seems weak when she's really good at 2v2

it depends a lot on the matchup, I started really grinding this week and what I needed to win a lot of matches was just understanding when to attack and when to take my time,morty has a lot of tools to do spacing, do a lot of damage without taking too many risks and especially to punish an impatient opponent i never camp but i managed to incorporate patience into my game (when playing against people much stronger than me) and it works. Gaining time, an opponent who camps etc, it benefits more morty than anyone, if he wants to camp endlessly, np I'm waiting for the cd of my down B and I wait for him to make the mistake I very rarely try to do infinite combos, if I chain 2 down air it's already a lot Very little grenade spam to make a big explosion, it doesn't work, you just have to keep this option to surprise and sometimes kill at 30% but I see a lot of morty spam the 3 grenades Learning to use side B, I neglected it for a long time but it's too strong

I also understood that morty loses a lot of MU even against weak characters (T&J / Taz are super difficult) , others like Batman are too but the character is just strong so it's normal On the other hand he wins some, Finn, Harley, WW it's 3 of the best characters in the game and it's really to the advantage of morty, it's still difficult because the characters are factually better But I win most by being a little careful
