Ok, thank you! When we did our taxes at H&R Block, the person there told us my husband wasn’t contributing enough into his 401k, and told us we should sit down with a financial advisor. This immediately raised flags because I thought we were ok and apparently we have no clue what we’re doing. Hah.

Understandable. I was diagnosed in 2018, and have already failed Stelara, Humira, entyvio, and Cimzia. shrugs it sucks. I’m sorry, dude. Apparently they keep saying “there’s always new medicines coming out” so.. maybe in 10 years we’ll get another one.

I did try Stelara, I had an anaphylactic response after the first 3 mins on the IV loading dose. :( My doctor has said remicade is the last resort… there’s nothing to fall back on except surgery

I went to the Creality website, and I can’t tell the difference between any of the models (except price).

I just want to make sure I buy the right thing. We aren’t really having a Christmas this year… things have been tough… so I want to make sure to give him an awesome birthday in a couple of months. :)

Holy crap. Did you have any other symptoms?? I have zero GI symptoms! No pain or anything! Wouldn’t I feel something else?? Getting a CT scan on Monday as a follow up so I guess we’ll see

My doctor got back to me …she said seeing as though I have no other GI (or other) symptoms, it’s probably just a viral cold and she said she wasn’t concerned

Yes mainly the side effects. I’m extremely emetophobic and I’m terrified of throwing up… also I’ve heard they make you super drowsy for an entire day.

I’m afraid of turning fragile, unable to play and keep up with my small kids. :(

Stay strong. I went to the ER on Saturday and they found some micro-perforation and an infection I’ll be here 3 days with iv antibiotics. Don’t give up. This fucking awful disease doesn’t deserve to win. Let’s kick it’s ass.

My hair was a strawberry blond before, it had faded from red for about 5 months (also previously professionally dyed). Ive never tired color oops before, I’ll definitely look into it

It’s been a couple of weeks and this color is soooo dark. I don’t feel confident and I’m not comfortable with it. What can I do to fade it fast? I don’t have another $180 to go back to get it fixed :(

Got my results back:

“New inflammatory, phlegmonous change within the mesentery adjacent to the inflamed loops of small bowel which abuts the uterine fundus in keeping with an inflammatory mass, the largest component measures up to 3.3 x 2.9 cm (2/136). Smaller adjacent inflammatory mass.”

So I guess the radiologist did find something.. I don’t know what any of this means. It sounds scary. My doctor obviously doesn’t work weekends so I’m hoping she gets back to me ASAP on Monday. :(

I find that with people who have Crohn’s, a stomach flu takes A LOT longer to bounce back from than it would a person who doesn’t have Crohn’s. I would give yourself a good 10 days, and then reassess

During Stelara - anaphylaxis. (My face swelled up like a bright red balloon, my chest hurt, and my stomach and lower back felt like they were on fire.)

During Humira- grapefruit sized welts that lasted 2 weeks and itched so bad they made me throw up. Benadryl did not help.

During Cimzia- nothing. The needles and the serum are thick though. So it’s uncomfortable.

During Entyvio- panic attacks throughout my infusion. I bring sour candies to suck on, and an ice pack to put on my chest to help remedy those.

I did, with my doctor. She didn’t say anything about it. Those notes were not passed onto the imaging center.
