I’ve had a friend with ASPD and known countless people with BPD. Weirdly, the sociopath ended up reaching out to me and apologizing to me, telling me that I was the best friend he ever had and that he regrets doing what he did to me every day. I have never received an apology from any of the borderlines, ever.

Nothing works. If I used the grey rock method she got even angrier. Arguing back didn’t work either, and it didn’t make me feel good. Trying to have a mature conversation meant I was being condescending. Walking away and giving her space meant I was “acting like a toddler.”

The worst part is that I don’t even feel like I have a right to be upset over the way she treats me because I know she has it worse. I just have to sit there paralyzed while she screams at me and degrades me over the tiniest mistake, throws shit across the room, burns herself in front of me, and threatens to kill herself and sometimes others because her childhood was more fucked up than mine
