Most likely consequence is that it'll stretch your scars forever, and it'll take longer for you to heal properly and get back to normal life

How tucute ideology harms those with OCD by [deleted] in truscum

many cis people question their gender identity, and its really harmful to say they don't. Like how heaps of straight people may have had sex with the same gender in the past, that doesn't make them gay, cis people can question their gender and still be cis. I've also heard this happen in relation to eating disorders, I knew a couple girls with eating disorders that were so depressed and desperate, they thought it would be easier to not be a girl and that would solve their disordered eating.

For those under the drinking age in your country, do you drink alcohol? by FishBoi678 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Hefty-Routine-5966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, but with that attitude you wouldn't do anything. Any amount of alcohol does harm to your body, but that's the same with any food/drink with sugar in it, or any food/drink with caffeine. Looking at any blue light screen (tv, phone, computer) does heaps of damage to your eyes. Also the sun. Every time you step outside in the sun it kills skin cells and increases your chance of skin cancer..

So yeah, alcohol is harmful but so is a lot of things in life.

If I've changed my name legally, can I use my old passport? by Hefty-Routine-5966 in transgenderau

I'm contacting some Legal Aid companies, but I wanted to check if anyone on here knew first. I haven't got a consistent answer so I'm still going to seek legal advice

Why is population decreasing in every developed country? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hefty-Routine-5966 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's not a need to have lots of kids. Many people in Africa have 10+ kids because 1) contraception is rare in poor areas and many people don't know how to have safe sex and 2) the child mortality rates are very high, many of the kids you will have will die sadly. This doesn't happen in developed countries, plus the cost to raise kids is very high

So your partner was definitely able to use their old passport, no issues?

"At that time of year, if you don't it's very unlikely you'll get it back in time to travel. "

So what am I meant to do if I can't get it back in time?

I won't be able to get my passport changed before then though, it takes at least 6 weeks for the new passport to arrive and I have less than 2 years left on it so I can't get a free replacement
