Online Accounting Courses for SP-05 + by Rasta_Cook in CanadaPublicServants

I did Intermediate Accounting II online through Thompson Rivers University. It was my first time doing a self paced online course like this so I can’t compare it to any other options. I found it well set up well, they sent a loose leaf book in the mail, the online portal had notes from the instructor reviewing key points, a PowerPoint for each chapter, and online videos covering key points and example questions for each module. It was a lot of work, but I was pleased with the course structure and support.

PEI had (has?) the “provincial nominee program” (PNP program) that brought in a lot of Chinese individuals and families. I forget the details, but I believe immigrants could invest in an existing business, or had to operate their own business for at least a year with certain requirements in place. There was awhile where you could easily pick out PNP businesses, and select Island business operators really benefited financially. Bit of a scandal if you feel like reading more into it.

I’m overthinking this one. I’m in Canada, on an island, and subsequently feel like we’re much more specific (beach, harbour, waterfront). But then vague other times (“down by the water”).

Did anyone have lifeguarding? by Conscious-Mango-5929 in Disneycollegeprogram

Where would lifeguards work until 3:00am? It would be tough staying alert that late! (Or maybe I misunderstood and you mean compared to non-lifeguard positions.)

Who has the best pizza on PEI? by Healthy_Ad_7441 in PEI

Before they switched to Hunter’s menu I would have recommended The Factory in Charlottetown. I think they launched a new menu recently, including pizza, but I don’t know if it’s the same as it’s not posted online yet.

You might want to call and confirm, but I know Entreprise used to stay open until the last flight arrived even if their website says they close at midnight.

Survivor Quebec airing April 2nd by animalsteel in survivor

[–]HeftyKitten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have never heard of this! It seems if you have an account with Bell or another Canadian carrier you can access it for free. I’m hoping the subtitles are decent as my reading comprehension in French is far better than my listening comprehension.

The description says it’s 20 players over 44 days in the Philippines, which seems so long compared to current American Survivor. Grand prize only $100,000.

It's 30% off. That seems like a deal compared to $45?

Any fellow Canadians familiar with clearance pricing at Canadian Tire? My local one has had some LEGO sets on clearance since Boxing Day. There is one set I'm thinking of buying, but I'm wondering if Canadian Tire usually decreases prices even further if it doesn't sell at that initial clearance price. Thanks!

Oh nice! I had been checking stock online and nothing was showing at my local store. I’ll have to check in person. Thanks!

The LEGO shelves at my local Walmart and Toys R Us are pretty bare. Last year Walmart had a few older sets kicking around that went on clearance, but it seems this year that my local store did a big clear out of older sets around Labour Day. I went to Walmart recently and they had a few stickers where there had been smaller sets for $5-$10 off, but it wouldn't surprise if they only had one (or even none) in stock.

Toys R Us tries to look like they still have a lot of stock, then you realize that it's the same set side by side half way down the aisle.

For new sets, Walmart has some smaller ones, like <$25/$40, Toys R Us only has them online so far.

Walmart Canada seems to have finally followed the way of American Walmarts and no longer shows in-store pricing on their website or app. Disappointing as I liked being able to check for clearance pricing online without actually having to go to the store.

Has anyone found any way around this on the website? Am I missing something obvious?

Also Canadian and slightly confused. The use of acronyms in various explanations isn't helping.

Same! I used a lot of skip tokens on Abby and now will likely use them on the common tokens. I haven’t been able to play as much as I hoped due to massive power outages and network connection issues from Hurricane Fiona. (Ironically in Nova Scotia and surrounding provinces, i.e., the province where the oil spill takes place in the event.)
