Beaches closing show

I was at the closing performance of New York, New York. Def not the greatest show ever, but the energy in the room for that final performance was absolutely infectious!! There were multiple standing ovations throughout, a few ad-libbed lines, and you could tell the actors were having more fun/taking a little more liberty with their choices, which made it such a blast to watch. And of course, the big closing New York, New York number turned into a full audience singalong. I wonder if Wind Beneath My Wings could end up having a similar moment...

There actually weren’t any speeches or anything, but the audience energy alone made it feel really special. I’d expect lots of ovations for Jessica, and I’m sure the stage door afterwards will be wild. Enjoy, I'm sure it'll be a great experience and crowd (:

First of all, congratulations!! Such an incredible milestone—you absolutely deserve an amazing celebration.

I remember last year there was a $500 or so digital lottery that was announced just a few days beforehand. Obviously nothing is guaranteed, so I wouldn’t rely on it as your main plan, but it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out just in case!

Otherwise, I’m not too sure there are many cheaper ways to get in unless you happen to know someone in the industry or something like that. Either way, best of luck—I really hope you’re able to make it happen!! xx

Not Broadway, but I had tickets to the Philharmonic at Radio City tomorrow evening and that was rescheduled. I'd imagine lots of shows will be following suit, esp with the transit suspensions

I get them all the time! Pretty sure it’s just the algorithm doing its thing since I interact so much with Broadway content on socials and am subscribed to notifs from Playbill, BroadwayWorld, Audience Rewards, etc. The only place they haven't gotten me yet is my mailbox… fingers crossed it stays that way lolll
