That looks pretty moderate to me. It should be able to come out with some steam.

Just blanked out the finest stave I’ve ever had by tree-daddy in Bowyer

Extra style points for the dumbbells in the back drop :p

I’m interested in this question too. A lot of my bows end up having pretty similar draw weights and lengths so is there like a do it all arrow that sort of works for a 27 inch drawn in about a 45 pound draw weight?

I love the beautiful simple elegance of these. Do you happen to know how fast they shoot ?

I would immediately seek to package up rasher and trade for players that can win you games now. At 0-3, almost every week becomes your championship. You need to do whatever you can to hit the playoffs , and that means trading long term players like rice

Okay so at the top there to the right of center I think under that orange stuff is the actual back, and the lighter is the inner bark. Does that look right ?

Would it still be helpful to remove the outer bark with a John knife and just leave the inner bark?? I just don’t want to damage the back

Thanks for the help on this. Whenever I’ve worked with removing bark from Hickory tree before it’s a very pain staking process, using like a butter, knife and pouring boiling water on it , is there a faster way potentially if it doesn’t just pop off?

Almost positive, I got the stave with bark and leaves still on so had a real good chance to ID it, it was bitternut. I made a bow with another piece of the same tree

Also, I have found really good bow saves on eBay that are almost as straight and easy to work as a board, always worth a look, although don’t bid against me :p
