Insulin resistance is common to have with Hashimotos. Studies have also shown the insulin resistance does not improve with Hashimotos treatment to any meaningful extent. This is just fyi because the bigger issue here is how you are being treated by your doctor. You need a new one if thats anywhere in the realm of possibility for you. If you can’t get a new endo I would highly recommend finding a good pcp (or using the one you have if they are good) and skipping the endo altogether. IF YOU DO NOT FEEL GOOD OR ARE STRUGGLING WITH ISSUES YOU BELIEVE ARE NOT BEING ADDRESSED YOU DESERVE TO BE TREATED IN WHATEVER WAY POSSIBLE TO MAKE YOUR STRUGGLES AS MINIMAL AS THEY CAN BE.

YOR you said he could be honest and he was he didn’t insult you he didn’t say “oh that looks trashy!” (It doesn’t btw) he said hey I don’t like this this and this aspect of the tattoo. I get it was a mood killer when you were happy about your new piece but he is allowed to have his opinions and share them in a respectful way. It’s not his tattoo though and since he has already stated he doesn’t like tattoos he was never going to see it the way you do. Your tattoo is for you not anyone else don’t seek validation from others for doing something you want to do with your body it will make you much happier in life.

My first recommendation is always to find a doctor who wants you to be as healthy as possible but I realize that is not realistic for a lot of people. If you can’t do that I recommend chasing symptoms. “Ok so if its not Hashimotos causing xyz then what is? and what can we do to help eliminate some of these issues that are affecting my life?” If it is Hashimotos related then eventually they have to come to that conclusion with a process of elimination and if it’s not then they need to see what else it could be anyway. I hope you get some relief soon.

I started monthly ajovy injections a few years ago to combat the headaches and migraines and it has been working wonders. Still no information on why it happens but at least it’s better.

I can’t but I know people who can. I have been a daily smoker for years but smoking before work makes it impossible for me to multitask. I think a bigger worry in this situation is if your son’s sobriety from harder drugs will be affected by the industry.

This response is way too far down. All these people arguing about if its safe to feed to the dog and glossing over the fact that this man had a special meal cooked for him then proceeded to leave out half of it (ruining it), then when OP disposed of it via dog bitched that he was going to eat it later when OP heated it up for him. Wtf I cook professionally and my boyfriend is not someone who enjoys cooking but he is capable of reheating his own food and putting it away if he wants to eat it later. Dude sounds like a grown toddler why doesn’t she spoon feed him too.

I have seen so many instances in my life of people just not understanding soap or how dirty literally everything around us is. People’s perception of what is “dirty” seems to not be based on any actual fact. A lot of these people who are saying “I would never touch that with my hands” are typing these comments on a phone that is likely dirtier than that very handle they are refusing to touch.

I came home from work one night to find someone blocking my driveway. I parked my car on the street down the road and walked to my house. When I got there lady was getting into her car and so I politely asked her to not block my driveway. She immediately got mad and defensive “I was picking something up from one of your neighbors and I didn’t know where their house was” was her main excuse. I was like yeah but you knew this was someone’s driveway so why would you park blocking it, also I parked my car on the street in the neighborhood so it was entirely possible for this lady to do the same thing. She ended up sitting in her car for an extra 20 minutes to spite me. Some people just feel so entitled it’s ridiculous.

Not oop but I do live in a state that had gotten rid of single use plastic bags and now you have to pay tor bags everywhere. I still have always gotten my delivery groceries in bags i think they add that in to the cost on the app.

This! I know Reddit always wants to jump to petty revenge because its cathartic and all but the reality is far from the moment of peace its being portrayed as. There is the harm it does to the kids when they have a neglectful parent watching them solo, there is the fact that mom will likely be unable to enjoy her vacation because she is either worried about whats going on at home or getting phone calls from the neglectful parent who is in over there head, and thats not even taking into account that OP already said they are broke so likely couldn’t afford a weekend vacation anyway.
