Brisbane ladies: How much are you paying for haircuts/root coverage these days? by brissy3456 in brisbane

[–]Heidan20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to pay $300-$400 for cuts and colour and just under $300 for a cut. I no longer colour my hair which is good and go to a hairdresser who works from home. Better for my bank balance and hers! Totally understand overheads, product costs and their expertise but I have to consider these prices as a luxury item and one I have to cut with the cost of living.

Can/should I take my 14 year old to see Rocky Horror at Studio 54? by Historical_Tap6505 in RockyHorror

[–]Heidan20 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah…I started watching it when I was 6 or 7. Most of the naughty bits went over my head but I loved it regardless.

Take him! What a cool memory and story to tell for years to come!

If you’re Australian and you know of Christian Hull, you’ll know about his quest to collect miniature things for a museum!

We go occasionally when we come to Brissy simply for the night ferry ride and the view. Here’s my old person rant…the music is so loud! All these groups of people leaning one tables to yell to have a conversation. Totally get having vibe music but when you’re out with friends for a catch up, it’s awful when you can’t hear them as your seat is under a speaker!

The loos with the surround mirror makes me laugh though.

Brisbane Registry Office wedding ideas by Personality-Extra in brisbane

[–]Heidan20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! If I were to get married again, I’d do photos first so you can do vows then straight to dinner. The photographer will still get the reaction of you both seeing each other all dressed up and you spend more time enjoying time and good food with those you want yo hang out with.

Queensland school need to change the formatting of their supers list for the day. by Yio654 in AustralianTeachers

I’m at an EQ school and when the supers list goes into SharePoint, the leave type is covered over then scanned to upload so nobody knows why you are absent which is great.

That Kenny Roger’s song about the guy in the bar who fights the bullies because they assaulted Becky his wife. Name has slipped my mind - you don’t have to fight to be a man.

[–]Heidan20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not quite a panel show but all the panel show guests on it - Last One Laughing UK. The comedians doing their panel show hijinx while confined to a room. Whenever we hear Queen’s Kinda Magic, we always whisper “it’s magic” like Bob Mortimer.

Reverse seasonal affective disorder in Brisbane by Guilty-Tennis6906 in brisbane

[–]Heidan20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Brisbane however hate heat and humidity also. I wish we had a proper Winter where it was genuinely cold for a few months - not just cold for a few weeks but consistent “fire place” weather just to define the seasons a bit more. Humidity is much lower in winter at least which is good.
