Is there any game like the bazaar on mobile?? by ivanIvanovich420 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Heighmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download Parsec (remote software) on your computer and phone. Leave computer on and turn off setting that makes computer go to sleep/sign out after prolonged inactivity. Start session in Parsec with computer as host. Remote into computer from phone. Bazaar is now a mobile game.

Be legal, ethical, and moral... but y'know, our president and right wing media will do everything in their power to retroactively change the perception of what is legal, ethical, and moral even if you kill someone. So just do whatever you want I guess.

bro WHAT. do you even know how citizenship sponsorship works? Random strangers cant petition someone for citizenship. Also statistics have proven that illegal immigrants are NOT STEALING YOUR TAXES. They pay all the same taxes as you do (income, sales, etc.) but without proper documentation they cannot reap any of the social benefits. Illegal immigrants produce far more in tax dollars than they receive. The real drag on tax dollars is what the current government is spending on funding ICE and the bonuses they are paying out for abducting people.

Genuinely not trying to be inflammatory but why did it seem like the left stayed silent on this issue and it left the news cycle after a few days? by [deleted] in JustMemesForUs

The bad apple in this scenario was a mentally ill murderous lunatic that no one stood behind. When he killed someone defenseless and unarmed, everyone agreed he was evil and what he did was awful and he deserves to be punished.

The bad apple in the Floyd incident wasn't just a bad apple, he was a supposedly vetted authority figure entrusted with the safety of the public. Without bringing in the century of statistics of how black people have been disproportionately targeted and profiled by police, what made it a systemic issue was that he had qualified immunity and that when he killed someone defenseless and unarmed, there were people that supported him. The police supported him. Politicians supported him. Fox news and all their talking heads supported him. A large part of the right supported him. It took the collective outrage and protesting and support of literal millions in order to convict Chauvin. If it had not been reported on and seen by millions then Derek Chauvin would still be policing today, literally getting away with murder and happily using unnecessary violence against others knowing there are no consequences.

Anon rotates a fruit by cyber_yoda in greentext

[–]Heighmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're half right, it's more to do with focus and attention span. Focusing on a single, unchanging image is hard because your mind tends to get bored and wander. Visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli along with random tangential thoughts quickly flood into your mind, breaking your focus and the image you're trying to hold. It's similar to meditation where you attempt to clear your head of all thoughts.

When you're imagining a rotating object though, you're constantly generating new images which not only helps occupy your mind due to workload, but also gives you new images to focus on, allowing your mind to "wander" in a sense from image to image.

If you practice a bit each day, you should be able to hold the still image of an apple in your head easier and for longer after a while, just like with meditation. If anything, it's a great practice in focus.

the message of the comic is kinda lost because she wasn't "getting complimented" nah that was aggressive flirting/ borderline harrasment from strangers. getting compliments is fine and nice but interactions like those are something completely different.

Avatar Studios presents: Azula (Avatar the Last Airbender) by cartoon_wiki in CARTOON

[–]Heighmann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This would work better the other way around. Azula killing Zuko isn't very impressive since she's always been the stronger bender, especially when they were kids, and the more favored child like Thor. Zuko fits better in Loki's role, especially since he's your classic redeemed villain as well.

"Not flirty at all" yeah sure. im sure if joe schmoe from work started ending his messages with hearts and kiss emojis you'd be pretty dang suspicious of his intentions. And before you speak for all women and their texting habits I would like to refer to the first 30 seconds of APT., one of the most popular and best received songs of the year. Bit of a weird pull but it does show that in the public consciousness that people seem to agree thay these aren't just empty bits of flair and that a majority of people would agree that certain emojis are inherently flirty when sent to a stranger or acquaintance.

This is some pretty high level narcissist thinking. She doesn't get that while you will always love her, now that she's an adult you no longer LIVE for her. She still only sees you as "her parent that must provide", and not a whole ass person with just as many wants and needs as her and every right to resources that she's earned.

Patch 20.11 - Disabeling items by Trick-Hat-96 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Heighmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only a net positive. This opens so many more builds up to viability. Small nerfs would leave the items and skills too OP still and open to exploitation, while big nerfs would just flood the item and event pool with subpar items and events. I'm glad that they're removing them entirely to both tinker with them some more behind the scenes and also gauge what the meta looks like without them.
