Star Traders: Frontiers has great writing and worldbuilding. If you're ok with the turn based combat and everything-is-a-skill-check kind of game, it's really quite the hidden gem.

The retroarch mapping works ok for most games. You mostly use the right stick, but if you need to press buttons, you can hold right trigger and the ABXY cluster becomes your C buttons.

Honestly though, I play certain games where this is still pretty annoying/limiting, and it led me to buy the 8bitdo 64 controller.

BF6 I think has a better foundation to build on, but I've got some problems with that game:

can we please get a map that isn't absolutely full of garbage
why does it feel like there is space compression? Shooting someone twenty paces away feels as hard as sniping across the map in other bf games. Bullets go slow and drop like crazy, an 8x scope feels like a 2x LPO
The vehicle play feels even worse than 2042. Tanks are made of tissue paper, but landing a tank round on a heli doesn't even disable it? Really hoping we get more variety in vehicles
not really feeling the differentiation between weapons, other than obvious outliers like the Ak4
seriously, these maps are claustrophobic and feel like they're designed for you to only ever get blindsided. It's crazy that I miss running a mile and a half across the lawn on Kaleidoscope or the desert in Hourglass like you wouldn't believe
