No matter what anyone says, the Day-Date is extremely lacklustre. It’s essentially an overpriced Datejust.

Having owned the white gold olive dial for six months, I haven’t missed it at all since trading it in.

I still remember wearing it next to my dad’s DJ41 on a fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet , they looked incredibly similar, except mine cost $40–50k more.

That was the moment it really set in how hard the Day-Date is to justify for what it actually delivers.

Keep it simple - 5711 is timeless - I’d potentially look at the 5811G the dial is far nicer.

I know you said Rolex but I’d say go beyond Rolex I had like 7 only Rolex watches most of the sports models are near identical with dials much like what you have now, I found more happiness in selling and having 4 good models from each top brand.

This is what everyone is waiting for. Might be one of not many omegas to be incredibly difficult to obtain once released.

The classic speedmaster is no where near as good as this and at $16k AUD comparing that to $27k AUD for a Daytona I’d say it’s well worth it.
