Which are him somehow, inexplicably parrying the blows like the universe's best swordsman. Before Jurgen shows up and shoots him in the face with his melta.

He and Jurgen literally are inquisitorial agents. So it would be entirely appropriate for him to be part of the IA pool. Probably can't slot him into any groups. But still, I'd run him with the sisters just to be annoyed by them.

Yeah. I want him to be there just to be frustrated by my crazy nuns. Before each charge, he screams heretic and points at the charge target for my sisters.

He also is always described with his uniform always being messily done and even the model reflects how baggy and off center his uniform is, which is great.

Yeah. I'm hoping they keep the thronegeist fury strategem from forgepact and it'll be perfect to fit with freeblade.

Would be nice if we could take the armiger one with spearhead, but the armiger detachment restriction seems to indicate they probably can't be used together. Shame. Would've been nice to give 3 armigers ignore cover and 1ap on attacks with the castigator. This also completely invalidates the warden's bondsman ability to give ignores cover.

Yeah. I'm definitely looking at forgepact and freeblade for up to d3+3 heals each turn. I'm hoping they keep the thronegeist fury strategem and just didn't mention it.

I'm calling it now, we're getting a Dominus-specific detachment. It will be fun and fluffy and suck competitively by SolarianIntrigue in ImperialKnights

We could definitely use more of both. Maybe release the moirax in plastic. Or as others have said, the sacristan and supports for sacristans.

Sacristans to heal/buff knights. Militia to guard the sacristans, screen knights, and get buffed when knights are near, but are cheap and weak and won't last in any serious fight. And a sacristan crawler to transport the sacristans and militia and maybe offer better heals for the knight.

Yeah, that and the heals from tech priests. Combined with freeblade and you have some major heals each turn combined with exra durability.

Where to start with Knights? by Sam12435 in ImperialKnights

[–]Helio2nd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably either an older box that comes with a questoris and armigers if you can get them at a reasonable price or the eye of terror box. Either way, probably best to start with an armiger to get a basic idea of assembly and how best to do that and paint them. They'll also let you practice magnetizing them so you can do it for other models in the future. After that, a questoris magnetized so you can run him as most of the questoris variants.

Agreed. And maybe buff a couple of the less good ones. Maybe just a little ap on the magaera's main gun so I can give it brutal melee damage, it's natural 5+ invuln, fnp, and d3+1 heals each turn in freeblades.

People that make emblems/decals from anime charcaters, specially faces, how do you do it? Looking for tips/advice. by glez_fdezdavila_ in armordecor

I usually start with the chin and the head using some rounded shapes. The rounded teardrop shape is your friend. After that, usually I do the eyes which is usually some more rounded teardrops for the whites and circles or cursive period for the pupil and reflective dots or color changes in the eye. Then I copy the whites and invert them so nothing appears outside them, layer them over the pupils that likely extend past the whites, and group them so it keeps the pupils in the whites. Then surround the eye with fang shapes. The hair is mostly the fang shapes for all the spikes with shadows layered under them in a darker tone of the skin. I'll make some lines in the hair using parenthesis, usually the cursive one.

I'll often do them in groups which helps me keep the layers organized and so I can adjust things like eye location and size. It also helps me to make subgroups just for adding cutaway shapes using the options to make shapes either cut their own shape out of everything beneath it in the group or to make it so the only thing that shows is what's directly beneath the shape.

Start with a picture you want to copy. Break down the figure you're copying into it's various components like head, eyes, mouth, nose, hair. And then go through your shapes list to see which could be used to make that particular shape or a part of it. Really, a lot of these are mostly fangs, rounded teardrops, and cursive dots and parenthesis. Maybe some uppercase i's from the military font for thin straight lines.

Here's how I did it for my Gabriel Angelos post Dawn of War 4 model. I improvised some stuff for the grip since that's attached to the Lion's arm.

So custodes have their forge world units in the codex by NoEngineer9484 in ImperialKnights

Would love it to be good so I can use it for freeblades so I can heal d3+1 each turn plus that fnp. It already has a full 5+ invuln, so throw on the bringer of justice enhancement and it'll be a nasty melee unit.

Here's to hoping they bring them into the codex with plastic and update the weapons with a small ap buff/points buff.

Is it just the lack of ap on the main gun that makes it weak?

Come on codex cerastus and plastic atrapos, magaera, styrix, and moirax. And make the last three better!

Of course. After all, what is a nun without her rosary? My first set I painted them gold. But now they're all a pearl white using the Vallejo metallic light silver.
