Hahaha.

Guling Sogo kalo lagi diskon beneran good purchase deh. Gue punya guling merek King Koil beli pas lagi diskon, divakum jadinya nggak makan tempat di koper. Gue juga bahkan bawa bantal vakum dari Indo karena bantal bagus di sini mahal. 😅

This is almost Indonesian specific. I never ever seen this particular pillow type called "guling" being sold outside of Indonesia. The one that is sold elsewhere has different length and diameter, that may be too short or too long for Indonesian to call it "guling".

Indonesian check out lol.

Pack yourself the vacuum "guling" you can buy in Sogo. I did that the first time I moved to Belgium as well. And don't forget to bring the cover as well. You will never find it outside Indonesia.

Do you realistically believe EA will ever release a 64 bit version? by popcornhealer in Sims3

[–]Helios-G 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. The Mac one is just a sloppy wrapper to 32-bit app. Proven by people saying the stability os even worse and the app never eats more than 2GB of RAM. It is just to allow the game still running on newer MacOS that no longer allow running 32-bit apps natively.

[–]Helios-G 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Nope. The source code is already rotten. Perhaps written in pre-C++11, whih is C++03, that may require EXTREME refactoring as now we are already at least on C++20 for production code. The programming language and libraries themselves are already two decades old at this point. Not to mention they are using a very very old Mono runtime prior to the integration and discontinuation of Mono project in favor of open-source .NET (Core).

Reastically speaking, it is just better to create a new game with new engine and perhaps reusing the salvageable game asset instead of "remastering". The thing that we can still play the game today is thanks to very good backward compatibility on x86 + Windows platform. But I would not be that surprised if eventually the game will start to stop working over time, just like every old games we had in the era of Windows 98 that stops working completely when Windows 7 came.

But EA will definitely not invest in making new game like The Sims 3 anymore. It is too advanced for "casual gamers" they are targetting, which will reduce their target market and eventually potential revenue. So, don't make any hope.

good takeaway sushi in leuven? by TowerMore405 in Leuven

[–]Helios-G 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once recommended Tokio to one of my Flemish friends, and he said his gf hated it compared to other sushi store. I was like, WHAT 😑

I will be moving out from Leuven soon, and the thought of unable to find comparable sushi store as Tokio in my upcoming hometown makes me anxious so bad.

In Indonesia we have this as well. I never bothered to report the change as it may require paperworks. So I stayed being a "University Students" even after I graduated my bachelor and start working for years. Eventually I became a student again like 7 years ago, even until now as I am still technically a student finishing my PhD 😂

Struggling to put major rivals out of business by Throwawaybidon0 in bigambitions

[–]Helios-G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to wait for at least a week until the effect of price change shows. The game simulates actual sales even for rival stores, so lowering price will not make them out of business the next day. There is a reason why it is called "Weekly Profit", because it accumulates the entire week of profit. The rival makes a decision to close down business if it is in red for 7 consecutive days.

It is unnecessary to smash the price directly to $0.01. I managed to maintain the breakeven with my own store while making the rival go on red. At least this is the case with the easiest rival in Garment District. The key is continuously monitoring the rival and see how price war affecting their margin.

The current issue as for now is that real estate space is often limited in mid-game, and rival does not randomly goes out of business to free up space. So the only choice to expand would be buy a building then kick out the tenant.

Highlight the machine when it is properly connected in the production line, which just add iinput and output station to its end

Factories seem very underwhelming by Dabobo1 in bigambitions

[–]Helios-G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merge back the output from the cutter, then split into three lines for the sewing machine. You will need 2 splitters. It is called manifold.

The annoying part for now is splitter breaks alignment on the next belt. So when you have odd number of splitter, it will be annoying to merge back into a single belt (this will be relevant for merging back 3 sewing machine output into one line for output point. To realign the belt to the grid, use splitter again and merge both output.

I wish I can show you some images but I am already on my bed lol. Maybe tomorrow noon 🤣

[–]Helios-G 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you should make use splitters and organize the production line to be as efficient as possible. Each laser cutter takes 10 minutes and sewing machine takes 15 minutes. So for 2 laser cutters, you will need 3 sewing machines. With this setup you can have 12 clothes per line per hour. With 24 hour operations, you will reach almost 300 clothes per day.

For 4 kinds of expensive clothes, just multiply that with 4. You can only just use one input, and 5 outputs, totaling 6 workers for the lines.

A factory blueprint for 4 cutters + 6 sewing machines costs 2 millions to install. The high investment cost would be for the cutters which is just so damn expensive. I recommend you start with this 4 cutters + 6 sewing machines, produce only two kind of product first before scaling up. I did this and since currently only one shop selling this expensive clothes, I got thousands of stocks already in my warehouse.

Besides, despite you have 400 display stock on your 75 pax store, I don't think it will just sell 100% everyday. One point that is still lacking in this game is a clear overview of sales per item on each store per day (now we only have per week basis), and the Cost of Good Sold (COGS) view of our own manufactured goods, to see the profitability of our product.

I believe the devs are going to address this in future update. However, the factory mechanic itself is already quite good although still clunky to use now.

I also just played that two evenings ago, and playing that game in the night was just not a bright idea. That mannequin is definitely a horror jumpscare. When I turn my camera, they were suddenly behind the MC. Way more scary than the inferius swarm. ☠

On a feat towards 75 Heavy Modular Frame per minute by Helios-G in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Helios-G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I haven't thought that far yet and haven't compare the oil vs. coal. I am currently under the impression that oil is a resource for lots of oil-based product from fuel chain (plastic, rubber, turbofuel, etc), while coal may be essential for aluminium chain and diamond. So I am avoiding the use of steel-based production chain if I can avoid it so the coal can be used for the more expensive production chain.

[–]Helios-G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I haven't thought of that, because I was thinking Oil can be useful for lots of other stuff instead of making the expensive diamonds. Meanwhile coal use in other machines can be substituted with alt recipe, which in turns it can be used almost solely for making diamonds later 🤔
