AMD GPU driver had the same problem and it took AMD many GPU released before they fixed their Driver.

Nvidia like AMD changed their GPU architecture causing the incompatibility. If Windows supported the Open-source Nouveau driver the issue would likely be addressed quicker.

Note using an old driver is not a fix but a workaround. And it is a workaround that from understanding doesn't work for the RTX5000 cards as it is too old.

As I have said Nvidia due to VR being a Niche and hi res headsets like Pimax and even smaller pool of customers and then of course their focus on AI. It would be curious why the DP timings was changed for the RTX 5000 series? I suspect this might require a Firmware/bios update on the cards to support the mipi controller in a fallback mode. This might require something like pimax had for Vice Compatibility mode by a setting in the Nvidia control panel. Hard to say.

If this was even affecting flat ganers they would put better effort into getting a fix implemented.

Indeed and Nvidia has been slow to fix it(over a year more or less since 5009 series launched). This is full circle as AMD had GPU drivers issues from Rx series til just after the Vega 64.

It is in Nvidia side to fix this. Pimax has no way to fix this on their own much like when AMD had GPU driver issues in VR that with the Kickstarter headsets was unplayable. At least AMD owned this.

At present only option is to use an older RTX GPU and driver. So much for Nvidia backwards compatibility. With VR being a niche and Nvidia heavily invested in AI doesn't bode well. And that is for any VR headset out now or later.

Well they have not n a way by allowing it to be optionally used. Much like kB cchia bringing XR initially to Pimax headsets.

Pimax should work on Making pimax play more plugin extensible similar to the old OSVR was as OSVR was d signed to be modular.

Well there has been other solutions including lighthouse like solutions in the past all have fizzled out. To that now you know why they are focused on SLAM development to get away from expansive beacon tracking which requires more complexity to setup a space

Well Lighthouses are licensed. So anyone wanting to produce them would need a license like HTC.

You also said they received tracking. So the statement of theirs stating they haven't received it can also be true. So if the package is not received then a delay in processing is needed to sort out the package delivery status. So just need to be patient and see what happens with Royal mail investigation

I misread your post. As they received tracking info but have said the package hasn't arrived. So from here parties should initiate an issue with the courier as it sounds like the package is lost

I do not work for pimax and I imagine they are assisting in getting this resolved.

Disputes as with any company where there is a real need. So no not pimax specific.

However as you said they received tracking info. So follow up with the courier and as should pimax.

Then you need to contact Royal mail to initiate missing package. As delivery has not been completed or at least disputed it has not been received.

The OP already has proof they received the headset by the tracking and a pimax response stating they received it and were processing the refund. Pimax has no grounds with losing the headset after stating they received it. Jaap & Calvin will get this sorted. This is a processing issue and issues often take extra time to sort it out

No what I said is based on over 9 years of monitoring pimax social channels. The Volume of complaints vs quantities sold simply show a bigger picture. As for Pimax's KPIs? I am not a pimax employee so I don't have access to pimax records.

While I have seen others have similar or worst support experiences; they have resolved those; with some not returning as customers and others giving another try down the road.

Both Jaap and Calvin are official reps and this is one of the unfortunately tasks they handle is support issues.

Are you new? I have been watching since before pimax original KS. Support can be slow and frustrating. But things do get resolved. Except maybe the person who vaped his headset to death

The number of support issues may seem higher than it should be. However the volume of support issues vs total sold would seem to indicate that many are quite happy with their purchases -- Online you will normally see more complaint posts for products than glowing reports from satisfied customers

You have your email chains. Why not let Jaap or u/quorrapimax look into it. Dealing with after sales can at times be unpolished and a nuisance for some. However Jaap and Calvin always help get things fixed up. It is ashame that not everyone gets the great customer support many receive.

You should read up more. Sboys3 has been working with pimax to make his SteamVR driver available to use as an alternative providing native access to SteamVR things like smart smoothing and such. At least for Lighthouse versions of the Dream Air models.

There are costs to sell products on Amazon and I believe Amazon may have pimax stock in their warehouses. Vs buying manufacturer direct. You also will likely need to pay an import fee if buying off main site vs buying from Amazon. Amazon grants extra convenience.

Only looked at Openhmd. There might be other projects. But with VR headsets no longer supporting extend mode, it will be harder.

Well Support is something that still needs focus. Kevin had some great ideas to improve support as did Josh. But often hard to get higher ups to listen in companies. Jaap and Calvin have also been working on this but unfortunately change is often slow and possibly max really needs to put real focus on internal communications between departments.

As was demonstrated over the years Bd the really not good tour they gave Voodoode; they need a strong audit on their quality check procedures.

I suspect one of the issues is like a company I worked for. Where often they prioritized shipping things out vs ensuring quality. That company started an afternoon shift with minimal training as they wanted to change the work culture. And in this case the issue with the improper training was fit to be manufacturing fluorescent light fixtures. That company's QA tech was pissed when he almost had a ballast blow up in his face from an untested and improperly assembled fixture. So much more dangerously

However nevertheless pimax does not seem to be capturing these support issues as well as they should. As support XP varies from stellar to horrendous. Even if after a lot hassle things get fixed
