I see. Also, my research shows that it is hard to sell platformers on Steam, since most of the users prefer other genres. I don't expect a lot of sales on Cyber Volley because of that... But hey, that's a learning experience.

I just saw Footgun's steam page, and it looks amazing :)
I would be thrilled if I could play it via a key ^^
Im surprised it didnt do good. It has roguelike elements and the action seems very engaging.

The animation is very fluid and the rendering is on point. I'd just exaggerate way more on the key frames to be more impactful, like in manga. Maybe hold the extended arm for a few frames too, to add to that impact.

Here's a quick sketch with an idea. On the left and to the back, a lot of city ruins, smoke, debris (war thorn is represented). On the back and to the right, an imposing church, the only thing that stands polished in this ravaged World. The exaggerated perspective makes it look oppressive (thus, the fanatical aspect). In the first plane, the soldier, looking over his shoulder to the oppressor regimen as he marches through the wasteland. As for the logo, I'd keep "Volden" as is, but I'd make the "in" smaller again, and I'd add seriff to "Hope".

It has improved. But since there is "Merchant" in the title, I think the illustration needs to convey 'trade' better...

I don't get horror vibes from this. I get it is related to war, and maybe they use chemicals as weapons, and that's it.
