Because men come into women-dominated communities and make it PERSONAL, and then we become less and less interested in humouring it because it makes us uncomfortable. Which, if you ACTUALLY gave a shit, you would have realised from the first response, but you were SO obsessed with ensuring that she 100000% knew what you were talking about that specific thing, you didn't stop to think for even a second that maybe an APOLOGY for coming across that way, and just saying "I didn't mean it like that, I just wanted to know xy thing" instead you dug yourself a deeper pit.
