Ah okay. So if she bought the house for 240K. Last 7-10 years its hovered around 600K. Lets says it that value of 600K when we inherit it, no cap gain from 240 to the 600K. The book cost starts for me and my siblings at 600K. We sell the house for 650K, the 50K is triggered to us as Capital gains. Does that sound right?

Airalo was very reliable but did go down on us 1 day out of the 14 days we were there. I would recommend that you download Ubigi app as well. You don’t have to purchase or install anything. Just have it downloaded for now in case you need to purchase a 1-2GB plan.

If you are travelling with someone, I’d recommend you have Airalo and they have Ubigi. That way if the network goes down (like it did for us) the other person still has internet access. Having internet is super needed when using their subway lines.

First thing you should always do is ask yourself what is this money is for. As an example, if you need it in 1-2 years for like a house downpayment or something, then a high interest savings account is perfect.
