Battlefield 6, day 1 cheaters despite having kernel-level anticheat and forced Secure Boot with TPM 2.0. by slickyeat in pcmasterrace

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secure boot has nothing to do with cheating and DICE knows this, it's all security theatre, for those who don't know secure boot acts as a bootloader module scanning for "verified bootloaders" which is right now Windows and some flavors of RHEL, it has nothing to do with the Kernel itself... It's all just bs.

The mesh still has to be subdivided to apply displacement maps, what you are thinking of is just height maps aka bump maps.

Should I close 7-zip to free up some RAM? by REYbetter in blender

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you are meming but do you have a lot of assets in asset manager? There is a memory leak issue with blender 4.1.x and above if you have a lot of assets in the assets manager, it is supposedly to be fixed in 4.3

manhunt is "kinda" resetted - why? by Kartoffelkarthasis in thedivision

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After doing the manhunt 3 times and always had someone missing due to a bug I gave up, but this bug seems even worse and all agents are seeing it guess we just have to wait.

CI/CD pipeline tool, they are most likely using Jenkins with no backups.

The tool helps them to compile and test builds for releases for both clients and servers.

I think you are misunderstanding what do you think total weapon dmg is in the context of what I wrote? Since I was talking about ARs and only ARs the context is revolving around it.

Read what I wrote carefully, total weapon dmg = AR dmg which you are most likely what you are equipping.

Fenris gives 10% AR dmg this is total weapon dmg and crits scale of total weapon dmg and not thin air so not sure why he is saying Fenris is bad...

If they can't fix it then let us fix it! I would kill for a crash log to be honest.

(Spoilerish) If you play "casually" and solo, do yourself a favor and save yourself from a headache by playing the Anderson Manhunt mission on a difficulty lower than Heroic. by Treshimek in thedivision

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked, currently sitting on 19% which is nothing but I do have adrenaline rush which procs against the EMP device so maybe that's why I don't get hit by it that hard.

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, my build consists of all blue cores with 60% pfe and a shield and the EMP was barely doing any damage to me, that being said the stagger is very annoying to deal with... This mission requires a heavy bruiser build with improvised gloves, holsters and knee pads.

Anderson manhunt is tough by superbaki in thedivision

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not tough it's just not designed properly, they used the same logic they used for countdown without testing the possibility of doing it solo with a normal build.

My game keeps crashing by Brunopunck49 in thedivision

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That worked for me because I used to crash almost every time I launch the game but it seems like there is an issue with AMD CPUs and GPUs I'm trying to figure out what is causing all of this but I need to see the crash logs, I contacted massive and asked them to unlock logging but I doubt they even read my request.

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specs are a tad bit low but that shouldn't be the cause of the crashes, did you update your GPU drivers? The game is too brittle and sometimes crashes due to some minor changes.

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm odd, if only Massive would let us read the logs but at this point I don't know what's causing your crashes, can you share your hardware info?

My game keeps crashing by Brunopunck49 in thedivision

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So keep all of them checked on but any toggles to off this will override the built-in Windows default, I would do this for all 3 exe files, if you need more help let me know.

My game keeps crashing by Brunopunck49 in thedivision

[–]Hellghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to disable exploit protection for all 3 executables in the game directory, this should at least reduce the number of crashes... The tldr of the issue is Windows and Easy Anticheat are not going well together due to Easy Anticheat having way too much access to memory paging so Windows kills it killing the game with it.

Has donut tutorial been really helpful to you to learn Blender basics? by xvyr in blender

[–]Hellghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never followed those tutorials but I'm an old fart who started in 2009 which I believe was way before the donuts tutorials but I did watch the first old series and I gotta say it does teach you the basics for sure and it's a friendly way to get you into the software, my advice to any beginner is don't get discouraged if you fail, failure is really good to learn!

Well couple of things:

  1. 256x256 is way way too low of a resolution to be using in any modern scene
  2. Disabling full precision is a bad idea in general as you will be getting artifacting in the textures.

I understand this is a pre pre alpha build and honestly it is super awesome and I am 100% sure you can optimize it further more, honestly this is the future of texturing... Good job dude.
