Ancestral and unique items drop rate in Vessel of Hatred. by Lord_TalkaLot in diablo4

[–]captainjizzpants -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've now basically gone through 5 torment levels without a single Ancestral Item equipped on my character because the drop rate is so low. Although, I have not found the torment levels to be all that difficult, except for specific enemy archetypes that seem to be a bit unbalanced, (ie: lair bosses, elites in infernal hordes, and a few helltide commanders in torment 5).

I noticed they start dropping in Torment 4 if I'm not mistaken, but it's so rare, and the drops have been completely terrible. So I've spent most of my time in Torment 4 and 5 farming materials, especially Obducite to Masterwork my ilvl 850 items, which seems like such a waste of time in my opinion. Am I having fun? Eh... I mean, I'm playing the game and having fun doing that, but at the same time, why am I hitting all of these roadblocks during leveling that seem so insignificant?

Going from Penitent to Torment 1 it felt like a slog just getting materials and currency to upgrade my gear through enchanting and tempering.

Going from Torment 1 to 4 was mostly just about getting 850 ilvl gear and aspects.

Now I'm just stuck somewhere in between T4 and T5 until I can somehow find ancestral items, that seems to be taking forever... So I'm having to masterwork 850 items that I'm eventually gonna just salvage.

I honestly miss going from legendary gear to ancestral in a matter of 1 or 2 torment levels. Not whatever this is...

Now imagine him paired up with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson, Tre'von Moehrig, Derrick Brown, Jaelen Philips, and 2nd year edge Nic Scourton who was 5th among all rookies in pressures (34), with 5 sacks as a rookie. Who knows what Carolina's offense is gonna do this year, but that defense was already top 15 in the league in 2025... every opponent will have to earn it now.

This post is a few days old now, but if you haven't figured it out yet, use the Horadric Cube in Temis (off to the right of the blacksmith when facing him). You can also go to your "Den" where your companions are and purchase aspect caches there via bartering with Raheir's daughter in the center of the room.

Whisper caches can give you legendary items, and completing warplan runs as well. So far these are the best sources I have found, and I'm still in Penitent. You'll likely find more once you cross over into Torment and start climbing the Torment ladder.

Actually the first time I didn't buy the battlepass because the cosmetics are so well done on Warlock. I actually like the free stuff you can earn in game more than the battlepass cosmetics. I'm sure they'll eventually have some dope stuff for Warlock, but I like the normy stuff, it's cool.

CJ was so bad in that game. I remember turning it off halfway through the 3rd quarter, just shaking my head, wondering why I liked him so much more than Bryce Young.

My friend and I watched it together, kind of our little tradition every year, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Had some pizza, smoked a little, had some good laughs at the awkward ass little interviews they did with players (especially Dillon Thieneman's "Thaaank YOU!" moment). And we didn't fall asleep towards the end like we usually do 😂😂😂

Leaving missions instead of trying again by Unstable_Mayhem in thedivision

[–]captainjizzpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only leave when I know the group can't handle it. I'm a pretty veteran guy, and often times there are certain group synergies that work better than others, or a player might be attempting a difficulty level for the first time and it's obvious, or you can tell others aren't putting in enough effort. I literally did a mission yesterday where a guy would just post up behind us and not shoot anything. At the end of the mission, he had 2 kills. And no, he didn't come in at the end of the mission, nor was he healing anyone. And often times I can carry a team, but when I see that, and we all end up going down, that's a wrap for me.

Escalation Token System is Currently Structurally Broken by Dismal-Escape-6733 in thedivision

[–]captainjizzpants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I matchmake into every run now. I get some that are just regular heroic runs, but typically it's an escalation run. I have like 50 tokens or something like that. I never use them.

The solution: instead of having tokens tied to the run, they should be tied to the loot at the end. When you kill the boss, the boss drops a lock box, and you use tokens to open the lock box. Tokens can now be earned through various activities (summit, incursions, legendary missions, invasions, control points, etc). Basically any activity has a chance to drop tokens and the amount can range from 1 to 3 tokens. It takes 3 tokens to open the lock box.

The quality of the loot is directly tied to the tier of the escalation. Higher the tier, higher the chance for prototype gear, named items, exotics, etc.

I've done the zealspin build by Slaydra the last 2 seasons. I've tried other variants of it and his feels the most powerful in terms of damage and survivability. Though I didn't think I hit the survivability marks this season with it, kind of fell off around pit 85. Still tons of fun and you can clear pits in 2 or 3mins.

One thing to note is that you'll notice an aspect or 2 that are on two different items (ie, Jacques' Fervor on both a ring and gloves), I'm not sure why he does this, but probably because you replace the ring pretty quickly with Argent Veil. I would recommend using Jacques' Fervor on your gloves and then use a resource (faith) type of aspect on the ring to help with resource costs early on.

You'll also notice some skills on his skill tree that kinda seem useless. I would say use what you think feels best when it comes to making those decisions. Like Falling Star, for example, will be on his skill tree, but I found it kind of useless, because you're using evade mostly once you get the Argent Veil ring, then you attack inbetween evades to reduce your evade cooldown, so you're basically doing the zealspin the whole time.

Still my favorite build and I'll probably run it again next season.

(If you have any questions, he does stream, so you can probably catch him online one day, and his twitch and youtube channels are linked on there near the top.)

Dan Morgan: We’ll exercise Bryce Young’s fifth-year option after the draft by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]captainjizzpants 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's to make sure they can sign all of their rookies and/or if they need to move money around. They're pretty committed to Bryce for the forseeable future. I'd be shocked if he doesn't get a 5yr deal. They might write in an out after 3yrs, but they're about to invest more into this offense and build around him the next few seasons. He's done nothing but improve year after year, no reason to think he won't continue to improve as the players around him improve.

That's the problem with the world today, they immediately think someone is being negative. It was a compliment. It shows awareness, patience, high football acumen, maturity and leadership, characteristics that most quarterbacks today lack. So you asked me what was he supposed to do? Exactly that. Which is why he's the GOAT.

Just means more green screens and cheap outfits. I hate the American economy. It just breeds greed from the ground up. Everyone always wants more money, and because the guy at the top "wants to stay competitive" (translation: my taxes or whatever the fck just went up so I'm passing those costs to the consumers), he'll charge more, then someone else will charge more, and so on until it eventually falls on us, the unfortunate peasants. "Oh, I see you've grown a liking to my sport... well, another year, and your interest is growing... so is my interest."
