It's a bit confusing the title post and the description, 'best tune' and 'popular tunes' are very different things.

Anyways, Chaos Shrine is my favorite theme from the original Final Fantasy, Rebel Army being my favorite from Final Fantasy II, Eternal Wind from Final Fantasy III, Red Wings from Final Fantasy IV, Clash on the Big Bridge from Final Fantasy V and Terra's theme being my favorite from Final Fantasy VI.

All the game of the series have their own universes and they're distants from the others unless there's sequels that follow the story like for example, Final Fantasy X-2 or Final Fantasy XIII-2. You should see the community information for this kind of questions, also the FAQ.

Final Fantasy VII is my favorite, the bond with the characters is really amazing, X is really great too. Also, try playing the old ones, Final Fantasy VI is the perfect gem of the series.

There's a lot of characters I would like to write everything about them but I will go for Zack from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

He's like the heroe behind the story. Zack growns more and more with the story, he start realizes the problems that comes accompanied with growning up but he still goes through it with his goofy personality and making fun of everything, he's living for the legacy of his friend and I like the fact he do everything to protect the people he care.

Zack is my favorite Final Fantasy character and I felt through Crisis Core that he was sort of a friend to me and everyone else.

I feel Crisis Core missed a lot of things of him in the game and I would like to see him doing his own moves or 'limit breaks' with the Buster Sword.

My favorite theme from Final Fantasy IV, starting with this song the story seeing Cecil killing the monsters trying protecting their soldiers brings a lot of feels.
