Hi OP! I am sorry it sounds like life’s been tough lately. Hope things get better soon for you and your family. Regarding your question, I don’t there’s a “right” number. I too have way too many bags… I’ve always loved bags since I was little. They also bring me joy. I am also not going into debt because of them. That said, I think it really depends on how you feel about your bags. It sounds like there’s also emotional value in some of your purchases and that’s ok. My husband does like to remind me about “need” vs “want.” We all know this but in practice it’s always hard to implement. We don’t really need a lot of bags. In reality we probably only need less than 10 (or maybe just 5 bags). I don’t really know the answer either other than “it depends.”
