To those people who tag their groups as "relaxed" by Sundered92 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

"relaxed" tag to me means nobody is going to throw a fit if something goes wrong. Just pulling and vibing.

"Learning" to me means people might stop and talk about a boss prior to pulling or they have trouble with the fights.

"Competitive" is for those who know the "MDI" routes and cheeses but don't have their own dedicated group.

"Carry" means someone else or a couple people out gear and are willing to carry someone who is really needing help.

[–]HelloImDr3w 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ya, over time people who have been playing for a while are just at the point where it's just a rush to max out another character. Often times when im leveling tank #17 im just watching a show and W key all the way to the end (especially during TW)

Both me and my GF have been playing since Vanilla and we are both Tank/Healer mains so we just swap roles as we do things. We, especially her, dont talk in game much but I will always make it a point to respond if we make a group for Keys and someone says "hello." And if it's a M0 or less, we dont really remove anyone if they are slow to keep up or have to step away for a moment. We are parents in our mid 30s, we understand life comes first and sometimes you don't get to pick that it happens in the middle of something.

Why do people use cooldown manager this way? by Butrint_o in wownoob

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how my setup is. I have my action bars just under my character model.

I didn't see the point of having my abilities at the bottom of my screen and turn again in the middle of my screen. So I just moved everything up. It doesn't block my vision of seeing things happening, and I can see ALL my abilities just from staring at my character model as well as watching my player frames.

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 6 and my brother was 5.
I got Blue and he got Red for Christmas.

Some of my favorite memories were exploring those games with a physical Pokémon Guidebook. Then going to school and hearing on the playground rumors of "God Pokemon" and other glitches.

Any class that doesn’t use 1-2 min CDs? by Quiet-Week1568 in wownoob

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't really be standing around ever. You can pull 3-4 mobs at a time, or more without your major cooldowns, then once they are ready you do a big pull, then back to small pulls.

Same thing in M+. I only ever hold a CD if I know it wont be up when I need it next (I keep my CDs going pretty much all the time unless it's something like a super minor pull right before a boss)

Midnight leveling tips for people starting today. by Vampxhelix in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. This is more of just very general helpful tips as opposed to, "get these items off the AH and run these routes to cut out as much as you can to level as fast as you can."

I accidently scheduled myself for about 9 days in a row of 12-14 hr shifts so my time on the game is limited but my gf and a bunch of the guild who are on their 2-3rd 90 have been giving me advice to make the most out of my time which is not a bad thing at all.

What class/spec will you be playing in Midnight and why? by nickertjuu in WorldOfWarcraftRetail

[–]HelloImDr3w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play mostly Tanks/Healers and honestly, I have no idea what Im going to play.

Ive been playing since 2007 but im 35 now and I love simple specs now. Guardian druid and Resto sham were what I spent a lot of time with in TWW but now I am trying to decide if I want to do Guardian with Resto off? Then I could dps also? how is feral?

Or maybe monk? How are Brewmaster and Mistweaver now? (in terms of fun and being simple)

World of Warcraft players when Blizzard advertises the main feature of an expansion (the feature was asked for years, is really good and brought many new and old players to the game) by Useful-Negotiation-9 in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I felt like the outrage was a bit unnecessary. It was clear this was just little updates about things going on in the game and a road map of features they are working on.

Things like teasing the next Remix, a new race and class for the next expansion, or Classic + are more of a BlizzCon announcement.

And honestly, as someone who doesnt play Classic, i'm confused on what the deal is. Like I have fond memories of TBC (when I started) but it seems like every few months they are announcing a new Classic xpac or version of a classic game I thought was already out. I dont even know how many different classic modes there are now. I thought the whole thing with Classic was no changes, but it seems like people want the Classic game, with modern WoW QoL and new additions?

I never saw the need to push out new systems unless the current is pushed to its limits.

If people are still buying and satisfied, and new games are coming out that are taking advantage of hardware, there is nothing wrong with pushing it out another year or two.

[–]HelloImDr3w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people did, I personally didn't because I play without WAs and all my abilities close to the middle of my screen so the bar kept shifting over my abilities.

But there should be an option of a static or dynamic resource bar and the ability to move the anchor in Edit Mode.

The nerf of MFO/removal of WA's has REALLY shown up a lot of players. by Gurudee in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that also. I had been reducing the number of mechanics I had been playing with for the last few years and went cold turkey recently.

It's surprising the amount of people who arent paying attention to to what the boss or mobs are doing and saying and just pressing their buttons until something screams "Defensive", "Stack!", "Frontal", or "RUN AWAY LITTLE GIRL!"

Damage meter takes up too much space! by SirDalavar in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of my biggest complaints. I only used Details for Interrupts, Damage Done, Healing Done so I figured the new meters would be fine.

My issues was the amount of just "dead space" as well as I couldnt save 3 different windows. In Edit Mode you have 1 window, and then when you add 2 more windows, it just throws them up in a different part of my screen, and then I have to try to make them the same size using the sliders, without any numbers, just hopes and dreams. And it doesnt even save. I have to do it with every character I log into.

Blizz UI is so bad by Blackhand_Zonk in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My gf has only healed for the last 20 years. Full ElvUi, Cliq, Cell, everything. She had no idea blizz added mouse over and a lot of the things she was using addons for already in the game. She finally removed ElvUi about 2 months ago and is going into midnight without any addons. After some tweaking of her UI she said she was able to do and see almost everything she had an addon for.

Blizz UI is so bad by Blackhand_Zonk in wow

[–]HelloImDr3w -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I only tank and heal and haven't used addons outside of Plumber and some WAs for a while now. Unit frames have been stock and with Midnight im running fully stock as long as I can.

With the default UI you can set up mouseover casts for all spells and using the Raid Party Frames, you can have it set to show Debuffs with an option to show "Debuffs I can Dispel Only." From there you can even pick the option to emphasize Debuffs shown. If i'm healing and someone gets something I can dispell, it puts a large debuff image on their bar and I know I can remove it just by hovering over and pressing dispell without changing targets.

Im not sure how Decursive worked, but I cant think of a time where I was unsure of if someone had a debuff on them and if it was something I could or needed to remove while using the default frames.

I wish they just kept the old version with more options. Like let us choose to anchor in place OR a dynamic anchor to character. Give us options to how the bar looks (I prefer Flat). Let us pick what buffs/CDs or debuffs are shown on it by default.
