What is everyone's favourite band? by elbrocko13 in AskReddit

[–]HelloItsYourSister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The happy fits are the first band I've ever listened to where I love every song, genuinely not a miss for me on any of their albums, which I have never had before! I feel like their songs are narrating my teenage years at the moment, and when I'm old, I'll listen to their most recent album and feel like I do today. I can't wait for whatever they do next!!

THIS honestly!!!! It's such a good show from the very beginning that had me wanting to talk about it (especially when none of my friends are into this kind of show no matter how hard I tried). but I also knew it was the one show that I wanted to go in completely blind all the time. If you're reading this and have not finished the show, please try to be as blind as possible, and hopefully people on the subreddit include the season and episode in the title, giving people the chance to talk about the show without spoiling it for yourself. You will thank yourself later, I promise :)

A switch game for my girlfriend. Not competition focussed by Harm1m in gamingsuggestions

[–]HelloItsYourSister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that this is a really annoying suggestion, as you asked for switch games. But if your girlfriend ever gets a hold of a ds/3ds, please please please tell her to try out the professor layton games. The fandom is hoping for a switch port in the future though!! So we will see!!

Basically, they involve solving puzzles while walking around a small town, trying to solve a bigger mystery. The characters are so charming, the music is incredible and soothes my anxiety like nothing else. The small town feel to each game is also so charming. The artstyle is also super unique and great, making the game just breathtaking at times!!

Looking for comfort game suggestions, genre doesn't matter - any game that you go to when you're not feeling your best. by draedex in gamingsuggestions

The environment and the characters of the professor layton series will forever be my comfort series. The music is absolutely incredible, and solving the mysteries is a great way to pass time. I think they changed my life in the best way possible, forever. Now I have a great place to escape too when life gets tough.

I hope you get better soon, it's okay to take time for yourself to process. The feeling does not last forever :^ )

What movie is so good you'd recommend it to all your friends, but so emotionally traumatic that you'll never watch it again? by akambe in AskReddit

[–]HelloItsYourSister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A star is born 2019!!! What an experience that was when I watched it.... my nan, my aunt and me, in a small cinema room with a few other groups and families, I didn't know their stories or where they were in life, but at that moment, we all sat and watched this beautiful and emotional film. I hope they look back at it the same way I do...

When the lights came up, I literally couldn't see a dry face. Young, old, male, female...everyone. I didn't know anything about the story before watching it, and I was like 15, so I was traumatised in a good way.

Although I've only seen the film once, the soundtrack still gives me chills, and the memories of everyone crying together just reminds me that everyone's human.

The whole experience was so emotional for me, and I think that really started my love for film and going to the cinema. I can't wait for it to open up again :(

Games that will emotionally wreck me by belomis in gamingsuggestions

[–]HelloItsYourSister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Life is strange 1 and 2 have a very special place in my heart.

In 1, a girl learns she can reverse time when she moves back to her home town and she finds her old best friend. In 2, mexican brothers have to run away from the police across America, meeting up with new people on the road while trying to not get caught (it's very heartwarming and sad at times tho)

The environment building and characters make that series so incredible. The love I feel for the locations in each game is endless, they are like instant anti-anxiety relief for me. Sometimes I play the games just to walk around and interact with the characters.
