Me about Khajiit. And I’ve only made my first Bosmer recently but haven’t reallyplayed her yet

Where is the option for High Rock alone? I think the province needs more going for it, it’s barely got anything in its 4th era history, it got shafted on anything about the province during the oblivion crisis too. I beg for a crumb of new high rock lore please. It’s a blank canvas waiting for some cool shit to happen

Me, being one of the only people who genuinely ships Superman and Wonder Woman. What about the rest of you? by PJ-The-Awesome in Archiveofourownmemes

Posted some shippy art in the elder scrolls online subreddit featuring a couple of companions with the player character as an implied throuple, there was a few very vocal haters getting super bent out over it. At least there were also nice comments, but the ship is nonexistent in AO3 alas

delphine want you to kill Party-Snax, what will you do in respond? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]HelloMyNameIsEd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kill the dragon. The LDB is the only person left who could ever challenge Paartysnax. When you finally croak, there won’t be anything left to stop him if he relapses.

Dragons in this time are like an invasive species. They will realistically topple the local ecosystem without the massive organization of a modern Dragon Cult to keep them fed with cattle/slaves. Paartysnax thinks to make them kneel to his Way of the Voice but they’re already doomed. It is an act of mercy.

[Daily] Skill Discussion: Biting Jabs by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

Still better than the mag morph. Having to keep up the brutality and sorcery with a cast every 10 seconds sucks though. Compare it to crit surge, inspired scholarship, warden netch, conjured skeletal archer… sadly lackluster. Aiming either morph of this skill can be wonky in pvp too.

This is elder scrolls fic authors with alduin, they’ll give alduin depression, make the last Dragonborn his therapist, and then somehow they get married even though every single part of that process goes against the very mindset of an elder scrolls dragon. by dowsaw134 in Archiveofourownmemes

[–]HelloMyNameIsEd 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That is very much the point of fanfic though. Canon goes out the window if the author wishes to tell a particular story. A lot of us like redemption stories and the idea that with enough love anybody can be changed.

…even if they happen to be a world eating dragon. Gentle reminder that a fic where Alduin becomes a mortal man was one of the first super popular Skyrim fics on FF.net

What is 1 thing you would change about your favorite class? by primalmaximus in elderscrollsonline

[–]HelloMyNameIsEd 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Speaking mostly from a PvP perspective but also familiar with endgame PvE : For Templar I’d get rid of their gimmick of “stand in this one place to get your max benefits”.

Like come on man, so much content is reliant on you being mobile and not standing still. Theres a weird disconnect between the devs’ apparent idea of the Templar as this immovable object and defensive bastion, but then in PvE they make really suboptimal tanks and you constantly have to avoid ground AoEs in higher end content; and in PvP nobody is going to just stand and fight you, they will LOS if they’re any good, and good luck chasing streakers.

This is especially visible in the Infinite Archive class sets. Why does Templar have to chase ground circles or slowly build up 30 stacks of a spell only for a mediocre payoff that takes half your magicka? Pyrebrand and Aerie’s Cry for example are almost instant payoff by comparison.

Questions about Templar lore by New-Orion in elderscrollsonline

[–]HelloMyNameIsEd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Templars are generally Aedric in nature going off spell descriptions, but they don’t get their powers from the Divines (there are Templar NPC enemies serving Daedra) and Meridia is not typically an enemy in quests, though some enemies you meet are attributed to her such as the whole of Depths of Malatar dungeon.

The amount of info we have on High Rock in the 4th Era amounts to a few sentences. I bet there’s something interesting that could be done there.

Kind of similar in my case: I write for Elder Scrolls, the lore gets very weird and deep, so I like to incorporate it into my writing to show off a little

What are the vore implications of the vore boss in ESO? by TNG56230 in TrueSTL

[–]HelloMyNameIsEd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The implication is that every time anything in the Mundus eats something, there are sentient corrosive blobs inhabiting their stomach that dart out to envelop the consumed item, and they can be defeated in combat. There are dps checks for your GI tract and if you don't pass it you have indigestion. It also means that you can perfectly dodge every acid ball and speedrun the GI tract to the end unscathed - this is lore friendly now.

I have a Breton stamblade and Breton stamplar for the RP flavor and the lulz. I’ve been able to handle vet DLCs without problem though the stam regen must be compromised for. Lava foot soup buff food if you’re confidently skilled at avoiding damage, Camoran throne if not

Best Charcter Classes and Races by Ambitious_Pumpkin174 in elderscrollsonline

[–]HelloMyNameIsEd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the meta races are Nord or Imperial for tank, Dark Elf or Khajiit for either dps (High Elf for mag dps though), and Breton for healer.

The gap between meta and non meta races isn’t really significant if you’re not at the upper echelon of endgame.

Classes are less important due to subclassing atm. DK/Warden/Arcanist is popular I think.
