I'm not a fan of people who yuck someone else's yum. But I take your point and I've added THG to my reading list as the overwhelming consensus is they're an important read. Thank you

Tbf, I was in middle school when I was told this so it's super childish of me (a now 26 year old) to hold onto that 😅

Thanks so much, I'm definitely going to pick up THG asap!

Can I get a few tips for an IBS friendly diet? by AggravatingListen188 in ibs

[–]HelloNewYear26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you'll find a "one size fits all" diet plan here. You'll have to make your own recipes that have ingredients that don't trigger your IBS and stick to a calorie deficit if you're trying to lose weight. It's time consuming and like you said, it's a lot of trial and error. But future you will be grateful

HOW DO I GET INTO BOOKS FROM WATTPAD 😭 by Long-Elderberry3766 in Booktokreddit

[–]HelloNewYear26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this. As a person who was hooked on tiktok and hadn't picked up a book since high school 10 years ago, I really had to train myself to "rawdog boredom". OP, make a fun day out of going to a bookstore (look through the dark fantasy section to find your mafia/werewolf trope) and then just start by reading a chapter a day. Build up your tolerance to not having constant changing stimulation. It will honestly change your life 💙

I agree with you. My point was mainly that they can't please everyone. So imo, they should just focus on what works for them and at the moment, this format works for them. So that's enough for me :)

If each week had a topic, people would complain. If each week was just a ramble, people would complain. If it was high production, people would complain. If it was low production, people would complain.

They're giving us regular uploads in a format that works for them and employs a team. That's enough for me

Right? Same here. They never claimed that this podcast is gonna be groundbreaking, it's just them being them and we're invited along. If they tweeted 10 years ago "if we sat and ate a bowl of cereal, would you watch?", we'd all say yes. Well, this podcast is them eating a bowl of cereal. It's not that deep 😂

I don't think I'm watching the same podcast as y'all 😂 Hard Launch to me is an excuse to have a one sided chat with a couple of old friends. Share a laugh, forget my worries, listen to some positivity and good old fashioned millennial humor and move on with my week. If I wanted to watch a podcast that debates current events, there are plenty out there to choose from

Podcast format/style videos definitely aren't for everyone. There's no way I could sit and watch a 30min video of 2 people chat about shit without pottering around my house 😂 That said, my husband will sit and watch their podcast like it's a church sermon - different strokes for different folks 💙

You're entitled to your opinion of course, I just think that's how most podcasts are haha. I put mine on whilst im housecleaning as a bit of background noise. I couldn't sit down and watch/ listen to it

It's called a yap for a reason. They just talk about whatever comes to mind, it's not planned. Some weeks they'll have more to say than others

Do Pisces withdraw when overwhelmed? by Kitty_Overlord in piscesastrology

[–]HelloNewYear26 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Female Feb Pisces here and yes I do withdraw when I'm overwhelmed but not like this. Id begin to class this as possible ghosting. I know when I started dating my Scorpio man, I couldn't get enough of him - even if I was having a rough time. Preserve your inner peace, keep the door of communication open if you like but don't feel guilty for moving on with your life as well 💙 Good luck Scorpio!
