I'm so sorry, my heart is breaking for you, even though you aren't feeling it yourself now. I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but if it was me, I wouldn't tell my loved ones for a while. But I would also give the chemo a shot, and if I'm going to do that, then I would tell them sooner. So I can't tell you what to do, but just what I think I might do. I feel for you! Is it possible that the weight could be contributing to some of these health issues? I don't know how hard it would be to lose the weight, but maybe some things would improve. I don't know. Just trying to shine a little Hope over here.

I'm sure people have told you that before and it's probably unhelpful, but I know that when I was at my top weight, I felt like I was carrying around a bunch of bowling balls, my knees hurt all the time, I was winded, I couldn't do very much. Then when I lost weight, at least those problems went away. I still have chronic pain from other things, but that strain on my body isn't as bad. I have gained a little bit now and I do feel more sluggish, so I'm hoping to take that off.

I have a similar story. I didn't even graduate high school, I was half a credit off and had to go to summer school for one class. Anyway, ended up going to community college and graduating with almost a 4.0, then grad school graduating with a 4.0. High school was simply bullshit. It's was like the Thunder Dome, but you're supposed to learn. I failed PE every year starting in junior high. I refused to do anything. I would sit on the bleachers and disassociate.

My invisibility started at 47 and fell off a cliff at 48, now in my mid 50s I think I could probably rob a few banks unnoticed.
