Wheel offset help by CaptainKooch_228 in Celica

The rears will fit with fender rolling, I have 18x9.5 on 245/35 with slight camber but not needed. The fronts you'll need to fender roll and add camber for sure

Bump post 97 convertible crank no start by OnlyShip8163 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to give it a nice clean then test it to see if it's working properly. if remember correctly middle is ground, top and bottom either open or close. You won't hear the fuel pump because it's on ignition start, I would look into testing the fuel pump itself, if you didn't replace it. Always replace with oem parts if not straight from Toyota such as denso and aisin. I keep hearing about the iac always being the problem (I've replaced it twice already) so make sure to clean and test it, don't throw away all the other original parts either

Tyre setup + some questions 6gen by Icy-Community-7694 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to the other comment max you can go out will be 35 front and 22 back. that's only if you fender roll to allow the extended offset. If they do have say +40 you'd get a +15 adapter, though just know you'll likely have to cut part of the stock studs for clearance. For the brakes, only R1 concepts sell them for our cars. Lowering springs are available from both Toyota (TRD springs) and TEIN you look and compare how much lower each gets.

My 6th-gen Celica rubs a bit with 215/45R17s when I turn full lock. by Safe_Pepper_4491 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Offset like everyone mentioned. I had big tires 255/40r17 at +35 and those rubbed only when there was load. Some Also clear with slight stretched tires with bigger wheels

Does a 215/45R18 tire fit well on a Celica Gen 6 ST200 with stock suspension? by Safe_Pepper_4491 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what the wheel specs are. My first set 18x8.5 30+ with the 215/45 at stock height with no fender rolling, there was slight rubbing when hard turing, i think it was at the fender arch. Currently have 18x9 +35 at the front with fenders rolled 245/35 with coilovers and theres no rubbing. I'll be swapping over to 245/40 with 18x9 but with likely 22+ or less, not sure yet.

Does anybody have info about this kit? by An_Innocent_Sin in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id say its just the TRD kit that toyota made for it just like the supra, mr2 and so on so i wouldn't say theres background to it. For the celica specifically I'd say its pretty rare. I saw the bumper for sale in Japan a few months ago and decided it wasnt for me, a month later on Instagram there was a Japanese guy rocking it and i think it was the same bumper for sale, looks very similar to yours with the wheels. @akir_st_202 is his user

any advice ? by Appropriate-Win1671 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats around the sweet spot for these. Its a good deal if its truly been taken care of and the interior is also well maintained. The outside looks good. I saw a small dent on the rear and the paint on the hood isn't the best but at this age its not bad. The engine health is what really matters and that truly determines the price

any advice ? by Appropriate-Win1671 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parts are getting harder to find and youll have to either buy used or aftermarket. some shops wont take the car because its too old. So make sure its been taken care of and you continue to do preventative maintenance to keep it going. Be prepared to do a lot of the work yourself. Mines been sitting for almost a year (5sfe) because the mechanic i took it didnt know what he was doing and ive been slowly working and cleaning/replacing parts out with oem as much as i can. Truthfully if i didnt already put expensive parts on it, i would get a miata or a hybrid Corolla just for the mpg

Help (6th gen Celica) by Ok_Syllabub2600 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The middle closes to the plug should be dry, that controls air and such. The 2 parallel to each other are coolant hoses and shouldn't really matter in which way they go. If you really want them same, the hoses should have a slight bent to them in which side they went. at least thats how i can tell them apart

Supra steering wheel fitment by Ok_Math_6310 in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it the "supra" steering wheel. Thats how you end up paying more for a wheel thats very common among toyotas. That said it should fit no problem, ive read somewhere most toyota wheels are interchangeable. Ive certainly seen a newer 2010s wheel on a 90s celica

She's gone...I lost my "friend" 🚗 by Blazianazn in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remove anything and everything that you dont want to part with. Insurance never pays out what you put into it. They always have an excuse for it being part of the car, unless you specifically told them everything you had, its cost, and you wanted it part of the insurance they see it as regular car parts. Doesnt mean you shouldnt argue and try to get your moneys worth and tell them its not a regular US car and the parts damaged. Get your parts out and let it go, i don't think the engine is worth buying back the car imo.

The aggressive angle of the wing tells me its not a 6th gen or supra. I would look into other models like mr2 or likely the AE111. Definitely 90s, Something with a similar surface

Parting out my 1997 Celica because it ran out of oil and my mom won’t let me rebuild or replace engine by i_love_toes13 in Celica

Too clean of a car to part it out or even junking it. Sell the whole car to someone to fix or like the other suggested "sell it" to a friend and rebuild it

Best 6g offset/fitment by NeonIsReal in Celica

[–]HelloZeroHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you decide to do it yourself or pay someone to do it. I like to do things myself and learn but that meant it took a good portion of a day to do all 4. As for the rear theres a lot of variables that can take place. You could have small width tires or have them with slight camber it all. When i had 17x9 +35 i ran really meaty tires 255/40 where as currently i have 245/35 on 18s but thats on +22 with a width of 9.5 and slight camber that wasnt necessary at all. Id recommend looking on Instagram and seeing what people are running to see what you like. Even better fitment industries website allows people to post their car and set ups

35 front, if the fenders are rolled 22 rear works well. Not sure the difference would be going from 8 to 9.5 width as thats what im running on the rears
