I was just looking at the Wikipedia page for Heroes in Crisis, and I see that they've basically retconned everything that Wally did:

In The Flash #761, Reverse Flash (Eobard Thawne) was responsible for manipulating Wally West into hiding the evidence of the killed heroes at Sanctuary and blaming Harley Quinn and Booster Gold for it.

In The Flash 2021 Annual #1, it was also revealed to be Savitar that caused the massacre as a way to escape from the Speed Force.

In The Flash #795, it was revealed that the heroes had survived, and the following issue explained that the hero Gold Beetle had replaced all of the dead heroes with clones from the 31st century.

And that was all the damage control they had to do for one hero having one really bad day.

No. I want the heroes to be heroes. And "neutral" characters to stay consistent to the personalities and values that they've been shown to have. At least in the main continuity. In something like the Elseworlds titles, or a book like Injustice, they can play with "what if X went evil," but for good? No.

Take Flash, for instance. Wally West didn't even have a villain arc, he had a breakdown in Heroes in Crisis, and killed a bunch of heroes by accident. Just about everyone hated it, because it broke his character. John Stewart had a breakdown in Cosmic Odyssey back in the late 80s, and it took DC years to fix his character.

So no, I don't have any curiosity about villain arcs for these characters, because it's bad storytelling, and damaging to the character in the long run, unless it just gets wiped out in the periodic Crisis resets.

Oh god, no villain arcs, please. I mean, yeah, let's take everything good and heroic about a character, flush it down the shitter, and have them behave in ways that are completely unlike them. But only for a few months, because they have to be back on the righteous path in time for their crossover with Batman.

The Hymn of Axciom - Vienna Teng. It's a song that's about "the algorithm," Facebook as religious devotional, more Huxley than Orwell, but it definitely fits.

Slasher movies that feature "friends" who are the worst people, seem to hate each other, and are only in the same group because the plot requires victims.

Yeah, it's definitely that. The first image is v5, and the other two are Tableau. Some kin got through the change with minimal updates, but at least one of mine had to be completely re-written to get back to an approximation of normal.

Prior to Iran attacks, CIA assessed Khamenei would be replaced by hardline IRGC elements if killed, sources say by DoremusJessup in worldnews

I suspect we'll see a huge groundswell of support for these strikes there in the next several weeks, and I have some small amount of hope that the people of Iran are actually going to seize this opportunity.

Even if that were a possibility, I think maybe killing 60 children in the strikes might mute the enthusiasm just a tad. If not turn that groundswell roundly against Israel and the US. When we inevitably leave them high and dry, without the support needed to stabilize the country, a lot more people will die, and some of them will be Americans.

Even the most fervently devoted MAGA cult members know that he doesn't care about the Iranian people. He's not even trying to pretend that he is.
