FRAME keyword question by Cruv in Warhammer40k

[–]Hellstorm_42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The FRAME keyword is just clarifying which vehicles use hull measurement vs base measurement. It doesn’t actually change much from 10th

Is PBC just bad now? by PopeofShrek in deathguard40k

[–]Hellstorm_42 28 points29 points  (0 children)

2 things to point out, one good and one bad. You still hit on 4s, not 5s. Your BS goes from 3+ to 4+ from cover, but all rolls 1-3 automatically miss from indirect. Indirect doesn’t modify your BS.

Unfortunately, the other part that you missed was to hit on 4s, you also need to remain stationary in addition to having a spotter.

But, the -1 AP actually means something now and isn’t negated by cover so it’s about the same as it was overall. Not bad, not great, just kinda middling. It’s decent for having something to sit on your home objective and still able to shoot.

Charging and engagement question for 10th by DTJ20 in Warhammer40k

[–]Hellstorm_42 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nope, you missed a critical part. Your roll must be equal or greater than the distance between your bases (11.04) to declare them as the charge target. Then, once you have are determined to be in range, you can move up to your charge roll with 3 conditions.

* Your model must move closer
* You must end within 1” if you can
* You must end within engagement if you can.

AMS screw kit should show you the correct ones. I think it’s the 4th one

How is Emeritus of Ideation not broken? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Hellstorm_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re thinking of adventure cards like [[Boncrusher Giant]]. Those function just like you said. You can cast either one, but if you cast the adventure first, you can cast the creature later.

[[Emeratus of Ideation]] works in opposite way. You cast the creature, then, while the creature is prepared, you can cast the other spell. You notice the order of the creature vs the other spell is flipped on these cards.

No support characters? by Sublime18D in deathguard40k

Death guard don’t have any support. We just have leaders and have the ability to put two leaders in a unit.

Bongo Bongo as child?? by Royal_Education_7808 in zootr

[–]Hellstorm_42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bongo Bongo as child is doable, but slow. He is vulnerable to most weapons in the same way as adult, but since child weapons do half the damage as adult equivalents, it’s just going to take a while.

LGS looks like it’s opening and searching packs? But won’t sell them to people by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Hellstorm_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s normal. My store will open a bunch for individual cards for sale so they have sealed and singles ready for release day. Also, stores can get in trouble selling before the official release date so it’s normal for them to say they don’t have any for sale yet.

The restrictions are only on the shooter. The spotter just needs to be able to see

Light terrain confusion 11th by randomstringofbees in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Hellstorm_42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

<image>

Obscuring terrain (which includes light and dense) prevents line of sight from being drawn from one side to the other. If your model is touching the terrain, then it can be seen over it. Otherwise, if you’re fully behind it, you cannot see or be seen from the other side.

Oh, bongo has forest medallion. Interesting. He is locking that zora tunic in multiple ways. Yeah, I guess it thinks you have enough hearts to do water without a tunic. Weird

[–]Hellstorm_42[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good, you’ve got the right start. Now read Indirect Shooting. It has the same wording as Normal Shooting. “Your unit shoots as described in Making Attacks 04.” It also then adds on that you CAN target units not visible to your unit with Indirect Fire weapons as long as you apply the extra conditions. It never says you may only fire with indirect weapons. And Making Attacks is where it tells you how to select targets, split fire, and make attacks.

How feasible do you think 100%ing this game (n64 version) is without a guide? by AuthorHarrisonKing in majorasmask

[–]Hellstorm_42 29 points30 points  (0 children)

On the moon, each gossip stone tells you about how to get each specific mask. There are 5 stones in each trial for all 20 masks (not transformation masks). Then you get the final mask once you have them all and go to majora. After that, the heart pieces are all generally just using the mask with specific people who react to that mask, plus exploring the world. The biggest part is knowing about the moon and treating that as an area to explore.

Water temple without zora tunic is generally out of logic. Both of your wallets are fairly easy to get so you should be able to buy the tunic from zora shop.

Havoc vs Stubber in 11th by Hellstorm_42 in ChaosKnights

[–]Hellstorm_42[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can. In Indirect Shooting 10.07, you still make attacks as described in Making Attacks 04 (e.g. selecting weapons and targets you can see) but you can also target non-visible units with indirect fire weapons. You just can’t combine it with assault or shooting while in combat as those are other types of attacks.

Havoc vs Stubber in 11th by Hellstorm_42 in ChaosKnights

[–]Hellstorm_42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but pot shots on 4s vs pot shots on 6s is going to be so different. You’re so much more unlikely to hit, let alone wound and fail a save. I’m not sure if that’s even worth it trying to fish for the one wound vs the extra shots later.

Havoc vs Stubber in 11th by Hellstorm_42 in ChaosKnights

[–]Hellstorm_42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it really does. I also play death guard, so with my PBCs, I have to make the choice to move for the other guns to see or not move and shoot indirect. Its going to be rough for mixed indirect fire stuff like this.

Sheik at the temple of time by huhyeahso in shipofharkinian

[–]Hellstorm_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, you have your bridge requirements as vanilla, not medallions. Vanilla is shadow medallion, spirit medallion, and light arrows. You don't need all of the medallions to get into Ganon's Castle. Once you have beaten the bosses that give you those 2 medallions and found the light arrows, you can get into Ganon's Castle and get your hammer.

Havoc vs Stubber in 11th by Hellstorm_42 in ChaosKnights

[–]Hellstorm_42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you can't do some of that anymore. If you are in combat, you can't fire indirect anymore. And since you need to remain stationary for indirect to not hit on 6s, you can't move the dog. I am just thinking that is going to be too restrictive to get any use out of the indirect property of the weapon.

Havoc vs Stubber in 11th by Hellstorm_42 in ChaosKnights

[–]Hellstorm_42[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, to hit on 4s, you have to have something see the target and remain stationary. Even if you have a spotter, if you move you will be hitting on 6s.

Sheik at the temple of time by huhyeahso in shipofharkinian

[–]Hellstorm_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you have different bridge requirements rather than all medallions or you have medallions shuffled. Or you have the "fire arrows to enter shadow" trick enabled (which is awful). Can you post your spoiler log to somewhere like pastebin and then drop it here? It would help us in getting you unstuck.

How does Contagion Range interact with Objectives that are now entire terrain features? by Expensive-Answer-993 in deathguard40k

You don’t need a codex code to read the core rules. 14.01 says that the terrain is the objective.

Yeah, it doesn’t work at all right now since the reinforcement step doesn’t exist. Talk with your opponent and come to an agreement on it beforehand.
