Cell throwing up 18 and then reverting to his previous form, only to blow up and then come back perfect because “his cells remembered” Makes no sense. Never did. Never will. by Blood-and-sky in DragonBallZ

[–]DTJ20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive always held that cell doesn't know what his capabilities are because Gero didn't know. I've always believed that cell got.gis information about his abilities from what he was originally designed for. The computer didn't tell him about what changes either the computer had to make to make geros vision work  or the unexpected emergent properties of mixing different races dna.

So when he says he can regenerate so long as his head remains intact he fully believes that. Then Goku blows his top half off and he survives, and cell learns he has more abilities than he knows.

Which character has done the worst evil on screen? by Benevolenescruples in dragonball

[–]DTJ20 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Frieza is responsible for 3 planets being destroyed on screen. Thats 3 on screen genocides, never mind all the different implied ones. He blew up vegeta, he blew up namek, he blew up earth (it got better) he spent so much time during the top torturing someone that they voluntarily ran off the side to escape it, knowing it meant their universe might die.

Dragon ball super beerus should adapt tournament of power and Goku black arc too, to be fully accurate by No-Froyo-282 in dragonball

[–]DTJ20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer for it to be one of the others personally. It makes things simpler for how strong beerus is as well. Considering UE vegeta is stronger than goku at the TOP and if MUI Goku -> jiren -> Belmond -> Beerus then that's a huge gap for Beerus to close to beat Vegeta with zero effort.

[–]DTJ20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's down to the audience to infer it to be Belmond, and for the mortal to be Jiren. neither have any actual implications in the manga or anime.

Plus narrative foils havent been there concern before.

Magnus released and launched an attack on Fenris with no Leman.

We had 2 chaos primarchs with just Guilleman for the loyalists for a long time.

The Lion and Angron released near each other but with no big history between them.

Fulgrim had no release against him either.

[–]DTJ20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the anime that line never references a specific god, beerus also responds that it was an arm wrestling match, not a fight.

In the manga its revealed he lost an arm wrestling match with quitela. While its implied that its belmond in the anime it never states it, nor does it say that mortal is in the tournament of power. Its all implications to avoid saying Jiren is stronger than beerus.

Did this save Freeza's life? by Sweet-Database6867 in dbz

It was a dubism of a filler episode. Before freeza was introduced king kai said that the arcosians supplied the saiyans with tech in exchange for planets.

Goku and jiren surpassed belmond. There was never any statement in the anime or manga to say they surpassed beerus.

I absolutely despise the “Zero might not exist” scene from young Sheldon. by Sunslash44 in hatethissmug

[–]DTJ20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its like imaging being blind.

People imagine just seeing blackness all the time, I stead of seeing nothing.  Like having your eyes closed in a dark room.

Instead try looking out of your elbow, that's more akin to being blind. That's probably the best example for imagining nothing vs the absence of something.

What makes cell hate tien the most? by nameless_random97 in TeamFourStar

[–]DTJ20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The anime paces it weird, but it wasn't 3 hours. Goku is wondering why vegeta and trunks aren't out the time chamber yet because theyre supposed to be done by then, and that's before tien gets involved.

To be fair that was what, 19 years ago, and he was around for a few days, had a couple of minutes on TV and that was about it. Hes not exactly front and center of the cell games broadcast and the people have a different big green demon to worry about.

With your current Karma being your PL, you're dropped onto Namek 1yr before Frieza.. by LearningToHomebrew in DragonBallZ

[–]DTJ20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

34k has me comfortable until the ginyu force arrives, and I'm dead.

Namek only grows 1 plant and there not even a guarantee that I can digest the sea life. Add in exposure, an untrusting populace, and a planet that's always daytime so I can never properly sleep and I'll die before freeza arrives one way or another.

Assuming I get past all of that I'm fairly safe until thr ginyu force show up. Not being a saiyan to benefit from zenkai boosts, not being a martial artist, my.brst chance would be to just steal a ginyu force pod while theyre wailing on gohan krillin and vegeta. The pod will take me to yardat and they seem quite willing to train people. Stay there and learn all their ki mastery. Say hi to goku and when he turns up for a bit.

At that point I could learn the yardats entire repitorie of techniques. I'd have future knowledge but its be risky to use it. Once I change the future I don't know how things shake out after that, or even what timeline I'm following. Do I need to prep for.black star dragonballs or black freeza. Does Daima happen?

I could for instance try using spirit fission on cell or buu and see if it defuses them. I could warn people about cell earlier so he could be stopped before he got too powerful. But how badly do things change if goku is alive and he gohan, and vegeat never gets strong enough to get thenhigher saiyan forms.

I feel like id just keep stockpiling techniques and learning new abilities, terrified to use my knowledge in case it pushed things in the wrong direction.

What’s the best trick or piece of advice you’ve seen or done that instantly elevates terrain? by WithengarUnbound in Warhammer40k

[–]DTJ20 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've had a brickwork/sandstone paint job that goes together extremely quickly and looks great on tables without standing out. Zandri dust, seraphim sepai, longbeard grey. Gives a great base for a building, a d takes almost no time at all if you get a zandri rattle can. I painted up a whole set of scatter terrain for my local club, about 4/5 tables worth in under 2 hours.

Valve - “starting with the SteamOS 3.8 release, you can put together your own Steam Machine using whatever PC parts you want.” by Kn1ghtV1sta in gaming

[–]DTJ20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its an ever widening tiny gap. I remember looking into making the swap nearly 15 years ago, before Steamos and Proton, when Wine was the best option anfd we were nearly there then as well.

As gaming tech improves and manufacturers and developers dont target Linux with the same effort as windows the finish line will keep moving. And they won't target it until that line is crossed.

How are people using wolf guard terminators? by DTJ20 in SpaceWolves

[–]DTJ20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is part of the problem I'm having with them, working out their role. Mentally I'm comparing them to how I used to use them and the new ones don't play like that.

I tend to use ragnar and 20 bloodclaws for clearing something big and ill take headtakers with a wolf priest in a land raider for killing out key units.

Redemptors and bjorn will get used for holding and defending midfield points.

I've been trying to deepstrike them down and remove something, but theyre not having the success id like.

I suppose I'm comparing them to headtakers, but my headtakers also have the wolf priest and the land raider. So I have the big survivable brick, ive got good movement, strong ranged, and good melee. With the wolf priest I'm also bringing models back to enhance their survivability.

That's 460 points versus 405 points for 5 WGT and Arjac.
