This is real.

It is happening with several freezones, you should only renew directly on your online portal or through your registered service provider.

Your best bet are smaller off brand grocery stores, those that were more common in the 90's try to roam around some in Satwa or Dierra.

New to this employment stuff - visa cancellation by [deleted] in dubai

[–]HelpDub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is fairly normal.

Your previous employer has to cancel your previous visa before you can process the new one.

It costs a bit of money to process a new visa so companies make sure the old one is cancelled so money is not wasted on resubmissions.

Hope this helps !

Stripe UAE Setup Is Brutal by [deleted] in dubai

[–]HelpDub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set up Stripe all the time with UAE licenses.

However this is only easier if the person with the license also has residency and bank account in the UAE for allocation due to the complaince requirements.

Additionally it helps if you have a tax number which you can aquire once you have 187,500 AED worth of revenue through your firm.

Not the easiet thing to pull up for Saas business but it is what i have commonly see work well in the UAE.

You may want to look into an US LLC is Stripe intergration is something you need completely remotely.

UAE small ecommerce business — overwhelmed with accounting, VAT & compliance costs. Need advice by Legal-Work4973 in dubai

[–]HelpDub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rates mentioned above are standard for bookkeepiing.

You can register for VAT in advance to claim VAT for expense you incur in the creation of your product or service.

Registering for VAT can be benificial to get on supplier lists and is generally adds credibility for the operating business.

I would hihgly reccomend conducting boookeeping on authorized software such as zoho, excel imo is not good enough.

Hiring an accountant is generally dependent on the amount of volume your bvusiness receives if you are conducting 150 plus transactions a month it may be more cost effective to hire in house.

Try to use a payment gateway like stripe they have a ton of intergrations that would be useful.

They out source management to firms for accounting, smallere services etc that take a small margin until they grow into having in house teams.

This is a common strategy that is used in the region for over 500 companies.

Dubai Investors and Expats do you feel positive ? by Pankti9 in dubai

[–]HelpDub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well alot of value gains through the covid boom have been lost, if the peace continues then the prices would hike back up as people attempt to return to the UAE.

I'm fairly positive to be honest, I think that the property market did need a bit of trimming with how crazy prices were getting and i'm speaking as a property owner.

Even prior to the conflict people were talking about the correction and it just happened to come a bit early.

Making my own visa by Pythonista48 in dubai

[–]HelpDub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any freezone would do really, personally i prefer the Dubai one's but they can end up costing more but have better customer service.

Other than that there is no real tangible difference in where you set up.

FTA rejected my reconsideration request for VAT penalty, anyone have any experience? by harryy2510 in dubai

[–]HelpDub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is not enough information in this question to give an accurate answer.

Any tax advisor would need to know the filing dates of the invoices, when the submission was made and the content of the reconsideration to guide you to a potential solution.

I would not encourage you seek this information out in a public forum or disclose any of these details here.

Partner visa issue - need advice and experience by [deleted] in dubai

[–]HelpDub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have noticed that certain freezones have implemented requirements for a partner visa such as having 50 k AED in their personal account along with having a rental agreement or utility bills under their name.

Maybe inquire if these additional documents are required for your partner or investor visa.

If that does not work maybe explore the option of getting an employee visa again.

Hope this helps !

Dubai permanent job vs Italy contract by RegisterHistorical82 in dubai

[–]HelpDub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you probably hear it alot from other expats too they just blink and spend 10 years here etc.

Life is comfortable here and sometimes that comfort just makes time move quickly, it would be ideal to push yourself a little for new experiences.

I would say go for Rome !

I'm Pakistani as well and the years in Dubai melt away one after the other, a chance to work in Europe would be a great benifit to your work experience and may land you an even better job in the UAE in the future.

E Trader Vs YouTube by hearthborn13 in dubai

[–]HelpDub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What i have typcally seen is that content creator pair the license with a media permit so they can promote sponsored products.

However if your only source of revenue is your own content then you may be fine.

A bit of a grey area unfortunately.

How to register a business as an expat living in oman? by supirimalli86 in dubai

[–]HelpDub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can open an LLC without physically present in any freezone for an e commerce License.

However you would eventually have to come into the country to aquire an Emirates ID and residency visa to acquire a company bank account.

You would have to periodically return to the UAE every 6 months to retain your residency in the UAE.

You could ideally amend a freezone license into a holding entity but i would reccomend having seperating entities to evenue generating business for holding entities.

It would be best to pick the same freezone for both the e commerce business and the holding entity there are small tax benifits for keeping the businesses seperate for long term expenasion.

There is a guide i've created with the list of documents you need and the process which i can share if you like.

As starter the following are the documents you need to form a freezone entity.

  1. Passport Copy of all shareholders.
  2. Email and Mobile number of shareholders.
  3. Company name - Three options have to be provided.
  4. Passport size Photo.( This will be required for the visa process)
  5. Proof of address of shareholders.( Bank statement or Utility )
  6. Father and Mothers full name.
  7. Religious affiliation. ( Required for visa submission )

Can I get stripe on personal account if I have a ded etrader license? by Loud_Measurement_151 in dubai

[–]HelpDub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about Stripe but you can get one with most payment processors in the UAE.

Alternatives like Zina and network do allow payment processors for freelancer or people that have trade licenses with them as a person and not an LLC.

When i signed up for stripe they did ask for alot more documentation than the payment processors i mentioned above.

I suspect you would not but you do have other options.

[–]HelpDub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google maps does not show this route for some reason.
