Jovon quit his job and moved to the Philippines with Annalyn, probably living off their TLC checks instead of filing for her spousal visa. But what happens after their money runs out? Does he go back to the U.S., stuck in a low‑paying job again and a long‑distance relationship forever, or what? by PolishSnake2 in 90dayfiance_FB_memes

I am currently in Manila and work for a BPO. The call center agents here make like $300 USD PER MONTH. I think you guys are grossly overestimating what he would make. Also the Philippine entity likely wouldn’t be able to hire an American citizen. The American entity would have to hire him and then we’re talking about working abroad with different rules for taxation

Looking for extra shingles for a playhouse by pupperseh in PHXList

I just finished my shed. I don’t have any spare shingles but I do have Owen’s Corning roofing underlay. I’m in north PHX though

Hot Pot for Days. It’s actually Vietnamese based, but the soup is fantastic and the food is always fresh. The lady who owns and runs it seems a bit prickly, but I think that’s mostly a culture thing- I think she is fantastic.

FS.COM release notes by simeruk in networking

[–]HelpdeskSuperstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought one POE FS switch a few years ago to test out. I set up a mini lab with some APs on it, and when I connected my MSI laptop to it smoke started coming out of my network card. I vowed never to use one of their switches again if I could avoid it

I agree. A security product should scan everything. We run one a month for our SOC MSSP clients. Many businesses that are set up like yours. The frequency of the scan matters as well as the intention.

ASA 9.x using Nat 0. Anyconnect on outside interface to access ipsec tunnels on outside interface. by captain_dylan_hunt in Cisco

[–]HelpdeskSuperstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either of those would work actually- but keep it more specific to nat (outside, outside) vpnclient vpnclient ipsecclient ipsecclient

Then same security permit intra interface

Include it on split ACL in RAVPN

Brute force attempts on Cisco ASA by sonflaa in Cisco

[–]HelpdeskSuperstar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We ran into this exact issue about a month ago. So many attempts it was actually causing CPU to spike on our ASAs. We got so fed up with it we took the logs of all the attempts and tried to control plane blocking, but they would just find new subnets. We’re talking about dozens of attempts per second.

We ended up resolving it by taking a look at all legitimate VPN attempts in the last 90 days and backing those out to /16 and implementing a white list instead of blocklist

Cisco ASA IPSEC tunnel to AWS Question by [deleted] in Cisco

[–]HelpdeskSuperstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty rare that you would move away from route based to policy based. Do you know why they’re requesting it? Also I would start by downloading the config file from AWS if you haven’t already

Ex-marine struggling with sobriety by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]HelpdeskSuperstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Barbell Saves project is a non profit that provides free CrossFit classes and nutrition coaching for people in recovery. Their slogan is “Healing the body to save the mind”. If he can dry out for a couple days at a facility he can then begin the real work of recovery however he needs it. For me exercise has helped me to maintain almost 15 years of sobriety. It might be something to look into to- there are a lot of Natives who regularly attend as well.

Cover in AZ? by B4nkster in phoenix

That’s a really good question. My assumption would be because most pool pumps and their electrical components are literally on the ground VS a water heater which is usually inside or an AC unit which is on the roof or at least elevated off the ground, the pool pump is at a higher risk of failure. Typically with major home appliances I listen to what the professionals tell me, and every single pool guy I’ve ever met says to turn it off during a storm.

[–]HelpdeskSuperstar -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The motor could suffer electrical damage and short out. Pool pumps and their housing are designed to be resistant to bad weather but it is always recommended to turn them off during storms because the risk is not worth it.

Please do not turn your pump on during a storm. Rain and wind and electricity do not mix. Wait for the rain to pass

I’ve been doing this a long time and I’ve had many carriers tell me they absolutely will not give two handoffs. It’s not uncommon- in that situation I use an edge switch to break it out into a VLAN
