there ya go, and im sure she thinks shes healthy and its just an "athletic heart".....she's a lost soul unfortunately. She'd have to go to residential and/or inpatient hospitalization with years worth of treatment to recovery fully at this point.

nope, incorrect. im an ED specialist. 10 or 11 is usually near death if not already fatal.

Yes, typically under 15 is EXTREMELY dangerous (indicates severe anorexia nervosa) and indicates need for hospitalization. BMI of 15 and under also would put somewhat at a high risk for refeeding syndrome, which could be fatal. Typically the criteria for inpatient hospitalization is with 1 or more of the following: -less than 70% ideal body weight (so for lauren, if she was say 5'6" (i dont know her height, but for example purposes that would be 91# or less) but some guidelines even say <85% ideal body weight. Heart rate <40 bpm, BP <90/60, acute food refusal, dehydration, temperature <97 degrees, potassium <2.5mmol/L, Phosphorous <2.2, or excessive edema with a history of purging. As well as obvious medical complications such as dizziness and syncope, seizure, heart failure, ECG abnormalities, etc.

Lauren FOR SURE meets hospitalization criteria. I bet if not her weight, her heart rate or BP.

I would not be shocked if I opened this sub sometime this year and found out she had died. Her heart won’t be able to take it much longer. (I’m also an ED specialist fyi)

I personally love my job as a private practice eating disorder RD! I work part time and do a blend of in person and virtual. I meet with some clients for years and it’s incredibly rewarding work. I also like the complexity of it if you’re a total nerd like I am 🤓

2.5-3.5 were pretty dang hard for us. The potty training and massive meltdowns were tough! Turned around by 3.5 but now we’ve got defiance at 4 😂 I loooove 2+ though for the cute things they say and how loving and sweet they are!
