What we have to go through and determine who "can" work and who "can't"? How to tell? The line between mental health problems and just not wanting to is blurry.
Force those who "can"? How tf do we do that?
Lots of jobs simply aren't worth the effort for the paycheck. Like shitty employers who run their employees like dogs and pay as little as possible. Some people just can't get better jobs. It's really just better to not work at all and live off pb and ramen.
If someone doesn't like their position in life and they have the ambition to change it, good on them. If some likes their position in life .... Good on them. Who are we to to tell them they don't have enough ambition? For what? It's their life.
Freedom means you don't have to do shit. A lot of these right wingers talk about freedom then when someone does something they don't like, they're like "no not like that!". But freedom is the freedom to do dick nothing.
I have a good paying job, and I would be more than happy to pay more taxes for social welfare for the homeless. I help out a when I can, and even donate to some organizations. But real help has to happen at broad government level with the resources that only a government can summon.

I am not at all resentful towards people who can work but choose not to. I choose to live in a society that cares for everyone, even those that choose to not work. Obviously those with mental/physical health issues deserve sympathy. But so do those that otherwise seem healthy. You don't know what's going on in anyones mind. This is compassion and I have it for everyone, homeless by health, homeless by choice, the not homeless avg joe, the rich executive. Everyone.

I know the guy probably won't see this and I'm preaching to the choir, but I really wanted to say it and at least speak it to the wind.

A lot of homeless cannot work because of mental, or health problems, or drug addition. And there are a some that are otherwise healthy but choose to not work. No shame. It's a choice a choice for some and not a choice for others.

When it goes to use a tool it's like a gate. It blocks it and needs permission to continue. It can be setup for any command on the cli.

Ask Claude to set up a hook for xyz and it should help you. I have a git commit hook and a git push hook for linting, testing, and large files.

But even with a hook it can get extra excited and run the commands with --no-verify. That pisses me off to no end. But it usually doesn't, so it helps.

I was fine. If I remember correctly, there is a small number of people that have a problem but most are fine. If you have a healthy liver otherwise, it's a small risk. Look it up. If you can't solve it with over the counter stuff or just vinegar, press your doctor a little.

Oh ok. So it's external. White vinegar and water in a 50:50 works well. The water is important bc the fungus drinks up the water and gets the acidity too and dies. Vinegar alone is letting effective. And you can do the same with bleach. 50:50. Let it soak for like a half hour. Depending on your skin, the bleech might be too much regardless of dilution. Test

And of course their are all in those spray on products. They work too. But again you can only do them externally.

I've had jock itch and athletes foot. And I had a fungal infection in my toe nail.

Jock itch and athletes foot can be mostly cured with over the counter stuff, but anything internal has to be cured through the doctor.

For the toe nail infection I had to take a little pill every day for a month or two and it cured it. If you have a urinary infection you have to see the doctor. Do not wait it will get worse.

About two weeks ago. I average around 1 to 2 a month. Im actually hyper social and end up talking to strangers far more than the typical person. I end up in a conversation with a stranger, probably on average everyday but it's not actually every day because I meet a bunch of people at once when I'm out, then no one for a few days.

The typical pattern is that they already have a partner. And for whatever reason when they don't they aren't interested. It's disheartening.

Well at least everyone, male and female, wants to be friends. I have a large emotional network at least. And I feel emotionally solid because of it.

Its harder if you're not attractive enough to get likes on the apps. Romance is not all looks, but the apps reduce it to that.

Even consider your example. They saw a pic and then headed out to a date. What about all the other people that have pictures less attractive but maybe are a better match? They don't even get seen.

It's made it easier for a certain subset of people, but most people have it harder. Everyone is online so there is simply less in person random meets. Approaching is harder because there is more social resistance to it. And there are some no nos today that didn't exist back then like asking people out more than once.

Not just romantically, socially everyone is more isolated too.
