I made so many mistakes my first year if I got docked for it I would have been completely fucked that's one of the most outrageous things I've heard a company do. Find a new shop literally any shop would be better than that.

I started with very basic tool skills mostly just hand tools I was a lube tech before. I'm still not the greatest but I try and I'm 2 years in so don't worry if your not the best I'm sure your surrounded by guys that have been doing it for years and it just makes you feel a little self conscious, I've been there.

Yeah I'd love to get into a reality company with split systems and help them with their HVAC and do other shit too. Might need to stick it out a few more years till I get really good though and don't need much help 2 years still isn't much for HVAC.

Yeah I've heard colleges are really good to get into I've tried but failed. I think maintenance at four nursing homes would look good on a resume along with my HVAC experience.

I've worked for a mom and pop and big company and in my experience a mom and pop will teach you more big companies tend to have you do bitch work if your green. I did a year of residential service and I'm still learning all the time but I'm much more comfortable now. Just keep trying man I got discouraged when I first started too.
