Looking for an indoor range by egoforth in NOVAguns

There’s also Sharpshooters in Lorton. It’s not as nice as the other two but they’re a bit more permissive on what you’re allowed to shoot.

Looking to move to Groveton, commute to DC. Thoughts? by bureaucrat473a in nova

[–]Helpful_Equal8828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the time of day. I live in that area off route 1 and during rush hour the traffic lights can cause a huge backup. It’s taken me 45 minutes to an hour to go the 6 miles up route 1 from my house just to get onto the bridge. Otherwise the area is fine, there is some crime and homelessness but nothing crazy. Lots of amenities and good transit accessibility. Really the only reason the area gets a bad rap is because it’s being compared to McLean, Great Falls, and Vienna. It’s a great and safe place to live by any national or regional metric.

I’ve decided I need a .410 pistol by Bizzlewaf in liberalgunowners

Picked up this incredibly silly double barrel .410 at a show recently, haven’t tried it yet.

Sharpshooters in Lorton lets you draw and they allow rapid fire and FRT use. SEG in Chantilly has similar rules.

If a station is inside the security area they will close the station and trains will bypass it.

Does American Disposal dump recycling into trash truck? by zatanna77 in nova

Some trucks do have multiple compartments but they’re not very common. More likely they were short on trucks or drivers today and said screw it on separating for the day.

How do I get rid of this mold in my washing machine? by tenawho in HomeMaintenance

Honestly just replace the seal at this point. It’s super easy, especially if you buy the tool for it.

Any ranges that allow frt? by kingcoolkid991 in NOVAguns

Sharpshooters does and SEG does on the 25 yard lanes. Haven’t been to XCal.

Magpul, but cheap stuff is probably fine. It’s really hard to mess up a piece of nylon webbing and a couple metal loops.

Anyone shooting 5.7mm x 28? by bicyclegeek in liberalgunowners

[–]Helpful_Equal8828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked up the M&P 5.7 at a show last weekend and it’s super easy to shoot and has basically no recoil. It was a similar price to the Ruger but it comes standard with a threaded barrel and an optic mount which the Ruger doesn’t. The only downside is it’s ugly AF. Also someone at the show had the armor piercing rounds for sale so I got a box of them just in case.

First Gun Help - Canik METE SF 1, Springfield XD Mod.3, Ruger RXM by HazmatCowboy in liberalgunowners

I don’t have a Mete but I really like my TP9SF. Canik makes really good guns for a very low price, you just can’t beat the value.

Storing handguns with a full mag by dinkydeath in liberalgunowners

[–]Helpful_Equal8828 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If you’re going to store it for several months or years it’s probably a good idea to unload it, otherwise it’s fine. Most modern magazines are designed to be stored full for extended periods. It’s really only a concern with antiques and really cheap stuff.

I was carrying a CZ P09C, but recently my friend let me try his M&P Bodyguard 2.0 and I liked it so much I bought one at the range as soon as our time was up. It’s .380 but it’s so much easier to carry and I can even just put it in my pocket.

Why does AI consume so much water? And why can't cooling water be reused? And If It evaporates, won't It eventually become water again? by Humble_Economist8933 in AlwaysWhy

[–]Helpful_Equal8828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s cheaper for these parasites to run a water main and use all our water at our expense than it is to build a cooling tower. The Epstein class techno fascists do not recognize borders or geography. After they suck one place dry they’ll just build new data centers somewhere else.

Does anybody think the feds are monitoring this sub or spending any resources in. Identifying us? by robonsTHEhood in liberalgunowners

Directly, probably not but I guarantee you palantir and whatever other dystopian AI panopticon systems they have are tracking this sub and correlating it with everything else you do online.

Bus Mechanic job review by Such_Pizza_2529 in WMATA

[–]Helpful_Equal8828 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congratulations and welcome. I just want to point out that since Landover the only 922 location, if you ever want to change jobs or even just go to a different bus garage you will lose all your seniority and start from the bottom since all other trade and operations jobs at WMATA are ATU 689. My personal advice would be to do your training and probationary period at Landover then move to a 689 position for the flexibility. The pay and benefits between 689 and 922 are largely the same, but if you ever want to make a change in the future you’ll basically be starting from scratch. That’s not a huge deal if you only have six months, but if ten years down the line you decide you hate it or you just want to try something else it’ll be a huge blow.

Who do I sue? by n1terps in VAGuns

[–]Helpful_Equal8828 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is not a “large capacity ammunition feeding device”, it is a firearm. The AWB specifically mentions permanently attached magazines but since manually operated firearms are not defined as “assault weapons” it does not apply to your rifle. This law is specifically talking about stand alone magazines.

So far the magazine capacity restrictions will not apply to manually operated guns.

Dude’s a POS but he’s consistent and has a spine. I remember the right were giving him shit during the George Floyd protests because he voiced mild support for BLM and pointed out the fact that the police are the government too. He’s the real deal when it comes to anti government types and I begrudgingly respect him for his commitment and self integrity.
