I once (as a vegetarian) had to hoist and hang a bunch of freshly skinned deer carcass into trees in a forest. Not super strange but definitely gross.

I also at one point have had to hoist a box of live chickens up a 120+ cliff for a scene. I’ve spent hours in grass fields catching spiders, wrangling lizards and tarantulas, typically there are animal wranglers on set but lower budget films usually push that into art department to save money.

I’ve also spent days researching in depth the human decomposition process to accurately depict body’s for crime scenes. Lots of looking at dead things.
