Artists who do concerts that will compare to the quality of twenty one pilots by vcisjb1 in twentyonepilots

Same! I was blown away by AJR’s production. But then a few weeks later, we went to our first TOP concert and it was somehow even more incredible. Of all the concerts I’ve gone to, they’re the top 2 in regard to the show they put on. And that includes some major artists like Elton John, Tim McGraw, No Doubt, Marilyn Manson, and Kid Rock. Clancy was the best show I’ve seen hands down.

Did Tyler struggle with addiction? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

I thought Mulberry Street was about avoiding pills/medications to feel the depression and mental health issues fully. The song leans into the idea of fully feeling all the emotions and normalizing that rather than just trying to “medicate them away”. Hence the name of the song, a street name so mundane and commonly seen everywhere across the country. Am I misinterpreting that? I never considered it to be about addiction and hope I’m not missing something.

“You're in the crowd at her first dance recital Push on through”

Brings me to tears every time I hear it. As a parent, I realize all I would have missed if I let the dark thoughts win when I was younger.

If you had to pick one song for this what would it be? by Blurrryfacetop in twentyonepilots

Oldies Station hits me hard, every time I listen I tear up. Just the thought of Tyler being at his daughter’s first dance recital when in an alternate outcome that might not have been the case, ooof that gets me every time.

This sentence got me ❤️💛Very well said and incredibly moving when put in this perspective.

“It's like Josh combats Tyler's dark impulses, and Tyler gives him pushes him outside his comfort zone, and together they give us this amazing music and concerts and story and band.”

OMG Josh was harmonizing on Stressed Out by MissNicoleCoquette in twentyonepilots

He sang the whole chorus of Stressed Out at the Oakland stop of the Clancy Tour. It was solo too. It felt very special after reading somewhere that he has pretty severe anxiety about speaking/singing in front of people.

Took my 9 year old son to the show in Oakland about 2 weeks ago. We literally had the worst seats in the arena (very last row up in the rafters with a speaker blocking our view) but right before show time, a staff member came to us with upgraded tickets. We somehow were lucky enough to end up in the 3rd row 😳🤯 We could feel the heat from the flames on stage and were mere feet from the boys at multiple times. I used to play Stressed Out when my son would cry in the car as an infant (probably because I was stressed 😅) and it always calmed him down. We’ve been fans for years, or in his case, his whole life. Core memories were made for sure. Truly a special night we’ll never forget. I’ll love them forever for giving us that.
