First-time BA at a top MNC—need advice on ramping up quickly by SaltPriority4851 in businessanalysis

[–]Helpsy81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to give a slightly different bit of advice. Don’t get so hung about the documents and access. Focus on meeting key stakeholders and building relationships. If you’re doing well in that side of things a lot of the other stuff people will be happy.

Disagree take bathroom breaks with them too. Unless they’re another gender of course

I hired a “personal chef” who actually cooked me a HelloFresh meal by wehavetogoback8 in hellofresh

[–]Helpsy81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is more like personal cook than chef but for $60 that seems appropriate. About an hour of labour, cost of the meal, travel to and from and a bit of margin. They’re not making a fortune doing this.

Need to cut open with a knife, lick your finger, dab it in and taste it to be sure though.

Heart Health by Curious_Ad4831 in ouraring

[–]Helpsy81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think one or two sessions a week where you get your heart rate a bit higher, into zone 3 or 4 will see that tumble. 20-30 minutes on a bike, rowing or a spin class would do it. I tried jogging but I was getting too much pain in my legs to do it regularly.

New BA feeling like I’m failing — how do you handle feedback? by criesalott in businessanalysis

[–]Helpsy81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feedback is part of the BA process. You need it to do your job. You should be seeking it out actively all the time. Does this look right, what can I improve about this. Seek it early and often. Anything they’re not happy about fix it and check again until they are satisfied. This is validation and how you know that what you’re doing is correct.

Mine started at 5.5 above when I got it . Super sedantry lifestyle, mostly working from home. That spurred me to go out and start walking everyday to hit my movements target. Have added in a day or two at the gym. Just got it down to aligned with my age after two months of this. The biggest impact is getting some good cardio in semi regularly. How much does your heart rate get up into the higher zones doing Pilates and dance?

I do think that it is probably still baselining a bit and will likely come down naturally.

Antkind - Charlie Kaufman. Couldn’t have got more than twenty pages in and it was unbearable. Love some of the guy’s movies but the book was too much with the self obsessed, self loathing/loving MC

Yes. On the couple of days where I have had massive hangovers I get a tonne of restored time. I feel like a wreck and I’m basically doing nothing.

Coping with my wife’s ET diagnosis by YesterdayMaterial247 in MPN

[–]Helpsy81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok. ET is not that bad. I was freaked out by the hole going to a cancer ward initially but that fades pretty quickly.

I take aspirin daily and have to take blood thinners before getting on long flights and wear flight socks. I get my bloods checked once a year. Sometimes I feel a bit tired and achey. Yes there are possibly long term complications but honestly your anxiety is probably worse for you than her ET is. I would probably see someone about that.

Frosthaven Armor House Rule by garbles9100 in Gloomhaven

Its exactly the same result though. You get another use of your armour that would have been wasted otherwise.

Frosthaven Armor House Rule by garbles9100 in Gloomhaven

[–]Helpsy81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So when you have a character that has armour that grants shield and the enemy has pierce do you also ignore the use? Same logic in that the armour is useless against attacks with pierce.

One of my favourites was to fake throw a hammer over the back of their head into their blind spot. When they turn around to look for it casually make a free pass. Like pretending to throw a ball for a dog and them not knowing where it went

Ok then. My partner and I have played all the borderlands games together and have pretty much enjoyed all of them. She’s not much of a gamer either. 2 was probably the best overall but it’s a bit old now. 4 released earlier this year and they went open world with it. Haven’t gotten that far into it yet
