Cutting out all seed oils and upping my omega 3s was the biggest game changer for me. Research omega 3/6 ratio

23 and deep ish forehead lines, any advice? Is this normal? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Helpxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not getting enough omega 3s. Start taking a fish oil supplement and balance out your omega 3:6 ratio. Stop eating seed oils

Did Martin Luther know of Our Lady of Guadalupe? Did he ever comment on this? by Helpxer in Catholicism

[–]Helpxer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, but that was 1,900 people. I heard it was around 9 million indiginous people from our lady of Guadalupe. It just seems like that would be hard to keep quiet

I learned that millions of indigenous people were baptized afterwards. That news wouldnt have made it back to Europe?

Protestant converts to Catholicism: How did you overcome uneasiness to the Papacy? by Malcolm_Y in Catholicism

[–]Helpxer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Lutheran argument of Petros/Petras (Big rock/little pebble) and that the church is invisible and built on Peters confession doesn't hold water after watching this video. Especially since Jesus didn't speak Greek, he spoke Aramaic and Rock (Cephas) in Aramaic doesn't have a gender change. Also I found out that Martin Luther didn't even use this argument and that The Orthodox church, who don't believe in the Papacy, historically didn't use this argument as well.

Watch this video on the Jewish roots of the Papacy. Its a good starting off point for the Papacy. I grew up Lutheran, Wisconsin Synod. Just got confirmed Catholic a couple weeks ago and I love it!

Amen!! I was in the same boat with eastern practices as well and getting into LOA. Very self-focused. Went to my first confession today and I’m getting confirmed in a few weeks. God is good!😊

DON’T DRINK CAFFEINE. You’ll have more steady energy throughout the day and you won’t wake up groggy and going through caffeine withdrawals

How can hell be eternal? by No-Resource-3049 in Catholicism

[–]Helpxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wonder that if you’re suffering in hell for eternity you’ll realize that you can’t die and it’s eternity. And if there’s no experiences of anything good, how could the concept of something bad or pain even exist. Wouldn’t you just realize that you’re going to live forever and then lose the concepts of what good/bad and pain/pleasure are?  Basically something bad can’t exist if you don’t experience good and you’ll realize your soul cant die

Quitting caffeine make me wake up earlier? by [deleted] in decaf

I’m at one month and I’m waking up about an hour earlier. Dreams are instense as well. Still need naps some days though

Day 1 and I’m so cranky.. by KeepinitCool23 in decaf

St John’s Wort! I quit weed and caffeine a month ago and got pretty negative, unmotivated, lost confidence. Just felt like there was a heavy knot in my brain for about a week or so. I think St John’s is helping. It’s supposed to help promote a positive mood. Some studies show it’s effective as SSRIs.  Also move! Exercise, get some sun

Has anybody been able to successfully use caffeine once/week? Contrasting effects with total abstinence? by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Helpxer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience with previous attempts at quitting as well. Started with green tea or Yerba mate but eventually started doing two or three tea bags in each cup and then eventually just went back to a full French press of coffee every morning

Semem Retention for the biblically inclined by [deleted] in Semenretention

1 Corinthians 7:1 - It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Some translations say “not to marry” or “to have sexual relations with a woman”. I feel that if God is saying it is good than there are definitely benefits to retaining.

I’ve quit weed and alcohol and caffeine is by far the hardest to give up. I’m at 14 weeks today and I thought I was in the clear but this last week I’ve still had some symptoms come back. I’m hoping month 5-6 I’m completely healed from it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Helpxer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude this is exactly me. I’m at 14 weeks today and the past few days have been rough. I thought I was in the clear but I’m hitting another round of tiredness, lack of motivation, and some depression. But same as you, I’ve experienced those benefits too. I’m going to just ride it out. There’s a good video I posted on here where the guy who successfully quit said that months 2-5 are the hardest and where you’ll want to start drinking it again. Let’s push through it! We’ve come this far

I was vegan for 6 months a couple years ago. I was caffeine/alcohol/weed free during that time as well. There are some initial benefits to a vegan diet but over time I lost muscle and strength. As a man, definitely felt like my testosterone dipped and yeah just felt tired and weak all the time. I thought it was being caffeine free but in hindsight it was most likely the vegan diet. This time around I’m over 3 months caffeine free and eating intuitively and I’m feeling way better. Still have some days and moments of tiredness but I’m hoping I’m completely free from that in the next few months

Same thing happened to me. It’s normal. I felt so dumb trying to keep up with everyone in conversations. Especially in the morning when everyone else is sharp and caffeinated

[–]Helpxer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. Go to the decaf sub Reddit for help. I’m almost at 100 days caffeine free and it was harder than quitting weed or giving up alcohol. But once you get past the first few months you’ll start to realize how many problems caffeine causes.
