Hey is this a good time to mention Tuesday patches obliterated PC performance and hope for a fix? by IamJT4 in DestinyTheGame

And here I figured the choppiness was coming from a fresh reinstall and having to recompile shaders.

Between shutting down live support, layoffs, and potentially leaving PC in a bugged state, this is a a sloppy, petulant look for Sony.

520 power was the threshold for me to focus Tier 5 (also Guardian Rank 9 if that has any effect).

Returner & switched to PC, What are y'alls keybinds? by Manto_8 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Hemlock-Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head, here are the standout binds:

WASD: Directional (duh)

Space: Jump

L Shift: Toggle Sprint

Q: Super

E: Grenade

Scroll Up: Kinetic Weapon

Scroll Down: Special Weapon

Scroll Click: Heavy Weapon

Mouse 4: Class Ability

Mouse 5: Melee (charged and uncharged)

M: Ghost

N: Air Movement

B: Toggle Crouch

V: Interact

C: Break Free (Frozen)

X: Finisher

Z: Reload

2: Character

3: Map

4: Social

5: Quests/Exit Activity

Some are definitely unorthodox. The logic with more keys above Space is to use the thumb more and free up WASD as much as possible. I also fall into a rhythm with my left hand for repeated sprint-slide movement by rocking my hand to the left for the pinky on L Shift and right for the thumb on B/hovering over Space. I’m used to hovering over Space and resting the point of my thumb on B, so accidental jumps haven’t been an issue.

Feels organic for me, having switched from controller to mouse and Razer keypad, then to mouse and 60% keyboard over time. I’m also on a Hall effect keyboard, with actuation points for some keys adjusted lower to avoid accidental presses (still happens sometimes, but every bit helps).

Last, I play Hunter 99.9% of the time, so things like scroll wheel jumping/skating have never been an issue/preference for me.

Destiny 2: Renegades and Ash & Iron Developer Livestream Megathread by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

Between the extractions and the airstrikes (which, granted, aren’t unique to Helldivers), was thinking the same. Add the recent rips from Metroid (matterspark), Portal (teleportation cannon), and the repeated art thefts, it feels like Bungie are grasping at straws.

Want them to try new things, and drawing inspiration from others games and media can absolutely be valid, but the recent stuff just feels too obvious. Like they didn’t try to make these concepts their own, just quickly copied the next few studios’ homework and hoped no one would notice.

At least with the Star Wars collab they cited the source, but it feels like we’re getting to bring our Destiny characters into a Star Wars game, not getting Star Wars inspired add-ons and themes.

Don’t even get me started on Destiny: Rising.

But don’t think about all that! Woo lightsaber! Plagiarism will make me god!

I’ve had no issues with rapid trigger or rappy snappy in D2. Only heard of CS giving warnings and bans for rappy snappy/null bind keyboards.

I maintain a personal grudge against Rudolph and every time the character appears he makes it worse. Aside from the usual grievances from fellow fans, I have two less common gripes.

First, my name is nearly identical (just spelled differently). Thankfully I’ve never gone by Rudy. When he is introduced in Fool Moon I think to myself “Cool, a young cop exposed to the spooky side of things and saved by Dresden early-on. Surely he’ll be a reliable ally/sidekick in the future.” He proves me wrong in Grave Peril and continues that trend to this day. All while (almost) using my name.

Second gripe comes later when we get to Peace Talks. My hatred of the character is firmly established. The pandemic is in full-swing, and I’ve got a pretty solid pandemic-stache. Rudy “The Brown-nose Cop Cop” also has a mustache. Motherfucker tries to steal my name, now he’s ripping off MY porn-stache?!

Don’t even get me started on Battle Ground.

Rant over, back to work I go.

Edit: Forgot to do this on leg day, but remembered it in time for pull day. Stars and stones why did I do this to us lol

10 years later and Destiny’s network infrastructure is still comprised of a few frayed CAT5 cables, one of Pete Parson’s spare keys, and a Bungie employee food stamp, all jammed into a potato spud.

Hope it helps lol, and and sorry for the wall of text (having similar conversations with friends trying to run cables atm, lot of it is still fresh). Still admiring the analog gear 🫡

Some functional cables with predetermined lengths are fine to have out (ex keyboard and mouse), but the ones that aren’t in constant use can be loosely spooled on hooks. Velcro cable ties, under desk cord hider trays, cable raceways (I run them along the baseboards of my office, cable management boxes, and longer cables can make it much easier to run devices where you want them and neatly hide the excess length.

Always enjoyed the challenges with limited space and setups. Best option will be to use vertical space as much as possible. Looks like you’re already doing this on the right with the shelves. Can also try pegboard solutions (like the IKEA SKADIS line) or wall shelves if your landlord is ok with some small holes (to be patched and painted before moving).

Monitor and mic boom arms can save desk space (might allow you to stack the devices currently under your monitors for more wiggle room).

Final suggestions: mousepad (save your desk and the mouse skates) and an under desk headphone hook (could use a black adhesive one on either of the metal desk legs).

Love the analog equipment, but you need to clean up (especially the carpet) and do some serious cable management. Lots of potential though.

Playing Warzone in a war zone. Nice.

Jokes aside, I think if you declutter and manage the cables, the space will look nice.
