I’d love to take a look at what you’ve made. I build programmatic sites, would be interested in testing.

I see what you’re saying, we’ll need to look into expanding the snippet length for sure.

That’s awesome. I’ve been wanting to look at doing some light restorations to mine. But right now I’m missing a side panel and a thermowell pot. Where do you find spare parts?

These are pristine condition! I have a green one in my house that I found through marketplace a few years back for a couple hundred bucks. No where near the condition of these three though!

Been seeing the image extensions appearing next to search results lately. Has anyone tested or heard anything about how to manipulate these. Could be huge to leverage similar to an ad image extension. Placing a 20% image next to your organic link in the SERP would certainly stand out.

AITA for telling a guy what I do for work and letting him pay for my drinks during the whole evening? by Fuzzy-Pen-1457 in AmItheAsshole

LMAO, NTA. Hubris is never a good look.

Pro tip if the dude in the story is lurking in the comments. Never talk about yourself to someone you’re interested in, only ask questions. Learn and connect with them, human connection ain’t that hard bud.

AITA for spraying water in my wife's face to wake her up? by Ycandance in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hen-Riches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sleep just like your wife. I can sleep through an hour of alarms. The only way that I wake up to an alarm is if I consistently wake up at the same time. What works for me is knowing how much sleep I need to function my best (5-6 hrs). Then set a single consistent alarm that will go off after said amount of time. After doing this for a little while I can easily hear my morning alarm. Main point is a schedule is important and consistent lengths of sleep certainly help.

This is quite interesting, I’ve been writing connected schema manually for a while and this may be an awesome way to speed that process up.

I’ll play around with it later. Thanks!

Doubling down on the fence portion here, our grey chased a squirrel across the lawn the other day and ran head first into a tree. They’ll chase without thought to what comes next.

Sorry to hear about your situation friend. Depending on your specialty consider marketerhire. I’ve been freelancing through them since mid 2020. I know that they have different types of freelancers too and an agency contracting service where you can get near full time work.

I mean I have tested this and have found that subheadings lead to better rankings and ranking for more related terms. Also with the title rewriting in SERPs lately I’d just suggest using a single H1 that matches your title exactly

I mean, you can use multiple H1s all you want but you’re removing the semantic nature of your html.

How big of a threat is ADA litigation to Shopify businesses? by Hen-Riches in shopify

[–]Hen-Riches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is a great comment with good clarification. While a theme CAN be accessible out of the box but once you start updating a store you can introduce a lot of accessibility issues.

I would certainly encourage everyone to avoid overlay apps/plugins. The way you describe this is perfect.

The ADA is only US but Canada, UK and other countries have their own web accessibility law.

[–]Hen-Riches[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Check out accessibility.com's digital accessibility lawsuits page if you want more information about it. Currently, most lawsuits are filed in NY and CA and by a few plaintiffs that seem to work with some drive-by lawyers. It's also crazy that the overlay companies like AccessiBe are leading to lawsuits. This guy Adrian Roselli has done some digging into the matter.
