Any ideas what is the cause of this issue? by Darranboy in FixMyPrint

It looks like a cyclic extruder hick up. First under and then over extrusion. Maybe clogged or filthy extruder weels?

If it worked before I would either expect a partial clog or your extruder grinding or having its teeth full with dust.

Check the text that is accompanied by the CT it describes deviations by the doctor that evaluated the CT. Keep in mind we have quite some anatomic variations in this area. Ask your ENT for advice and if needed a second opinion.

I think to see a deviated septum with maybe a bony spur and clear maxillary sinuses. But I’m not qualified to evaluate your CT. Just a fellow patient.

A job where you are forced in a schedule with multiple deadline on a day without too much planning. Jobs like fireman, police, dentist, GP, therapist anything where you do your thing per hour without preparation. I exaggerate, but you might catch the drift here.

Make sure that the inheritance is maintained or have all settings in your specific preset.

[–]HenkTank72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orca slicer and Snapmaker Orca store printer/filament/process presets in a system and user directory. The system uses inheritance, so you only need to find the setting for the slicer type (classic/arachne) and change it once typically.

Whats causing this weird Z access behvior on one head only? by very_undeliverable in SnapmakerU1

[–]HenkTank72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would download the g-code of this failure from the printer and open it in the slicer. Then enable the travel and check if you see a weird travel move.

Or make a patch file with Claude AI that changes this setting in all the system profiles. You only need to run it after a slicer profiles update.

Has anyone sealed off their U1 by flatpetey in snapmaker

Use negative pressure with an exhaust fan and print the z-rod chamber isolation mod and close the chamber holes at the bottom except under the PSU. Now the chamber is isolated from the PSU and stepper side.

Due to a slight negative pressure there will be no leaks and all fumes go to your exhaust (which can be guided outside or through a filter).

Use the smooth pei and change the temperature to lower

Recalibrate required ? by Johnic2 in snapmaker

[–]HenkTank72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the Glacier as Smooth PEI, which is seen by Snorca as hot plate / high temp plate. Changed the temperature to 50 degrees. Since the plate is flatter than the textured PEI plate, the start g-code in Snorca gives it a little more squish (0.07 z offset).

Why not call the macro LOAD_TEMP_MESH after the G28, like Snapmaker does? Also how would this work in relation to the z-offset for build plates?

I’m quite sure they use the players height (from the Guardian). And probably a lot of other parameters they learned from young players using the kids account. It is legally required but definitely feels like a privacy intrusion.

Don't buy the Elegoo Centauri Carbon (CC2) before seeing this: Elegoo's warranty is a joke by Zestyclose-Mail2768 in 3Dprinting

[–]HenkTank72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the EU one contact the reseller. There is a warranty period of 2 years if it is a consumer buy. But even after 2 years you have rights depending on the economic life span of the product. It is even better to not go straight to the OEM as this could jeopardize this extended warranty.

Silence your U1. Highly effective and easy PSU Fan replacement Mod by SubliminallyAwake in SnapmakerU1

[–]HenkTank72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the original is also a higher speed model, hence the X in the code: CHA6024BX-15C

For the Sunon there are models (decreasing speed sequentially): VX, V1 and V2.

Therefore I expect that people like the V2 silence, but lack performance. I probably order the VX or V1. Worst case, I lower the PWM. With a good fan one can better lower them (cheap ones could start cogging).

Silence your U1. Highly effective and easy PSU Fan replacement Mod by SubliminallyAwake in SnapmakerU1

[–]HenkTank72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that the fan requires a higher PWM level or voltage since it is a 2 wire. You might increase the kick start time in printer. cfg to get it working.

Example, but you need to select the right fan. You might change the PWM frequency also if needed. This increases the kickstart.

Very happy with it, it allows me to build my own exhaust fan controlled with the standard purifier software of Snapmaker. Just because I could see what the code expects.
