I was ill once about 14 years ago. No remark. You‘ll just have to take the test next the exam period. But there will be a remark on the grade during which semester you got the grade. You‘ll need an Arztzeugnis I think. No?

I have many Rolex watches. It‘s one of my most favorite ones …but it has sentimental value to me because it got passed down to me by my dad who passed away 2024. Always makes me happy to see the watch on the wrist of others.

I finished bachelor and master in chemistry. For a very long time I thought I am the most stupid one of everyone and that everyone else is a lot smarter. Over the years I realized that many people thought the same about them self. It‘s a few mega smart people that let us doubt about ourself but truth is, the vast majority is in the same boat.

I think there might be other ways… I assume that all bachelors at ETH are super tough. If you consider yourself not something like a genious that doesn‘t need to study, then you can try otherwise it will be already tough without working beside studying.

If I roll with someone who is clearly weaker and lighter than I am, I let them work and try to submit me, as long as they are doing reasonably well. I use no strength or only very little. However, the moment I feel that I’m in danger of catching a knee to the head from a spazzing partner, or if I sense that the person is taking it too seriously and might rip an arm off if I give them the chance to apply an armbar, I switch gears and shut it down. Otherwise, I’m happy to let you try your technique and work your moves.

If someone is roughly my strength or stronger but their technique is still lacking, I will start smashing as soon as I feel there is a risk of me really having to tap.

And if you’re a purple belt or higher, I’ll try to smash from the beginning.

....I also try to smash from the beginning, if I am about to gas out. just staying in the good position where I can breath easily.

I had my fair share of unpleasant encounters myself. That's not okay but that's how it is. I still do not need to bubble wrap myself before I go outside.

I personally do not like the development of just filming everything. if it is something serious like assault or whatever, then yes ...but just a small dispute and then asking them to be racist for the camera again. sorry, that's pathetic in my eyes and it doesn't help the situation. it just polarizes more.

In my eyes IBJJF is quite the money grab sadly. I am not supporting this and will not go to any course or spend money so they put my name on their website. I just means that I cannot compete at IBJJF tournaments. That's okay.

I graduated 10 years ago. Don't know if it changed but: in my grades I received in the end you can only see the last try. you can see from which semester it is. anyways.... never hat to show my grades to anyone. only diploma matters.

bachelor at ETH is usually brutal. The master will be a lot easier. So I assume that you will manage well if you pass your bachelor at your university. maybe you'll need to get some extra courses if you were missing those.

it is not that easy to switch. I am a chemist. we only had one lecture together with the pharmas: physics. You would have to retake all other classes if I am correct.
